Order of Fraudulent Men: Daniel Horan & Franciscans March For Abortion

The Franciscans or Order of Friars Minor (OFM) which is one of the branches that broke from the original Franciscans founded by St. Francis have been in the news a lot. They have been part of the sex abuse crisis in the Catholic Church.  Robert Campagna, OFM and other Franciscan provincials have covered up and protected pederast friars. Numerous friars have been found out to have abused minors. Others have stolen millions from the order in order to live lavish lives contradicting their vow of poverty.

The order itself is dying out. They are losing members to old age and illness and not enough new members are replacing them. I think the reason is clear. This order has gone corrupt. It has abandoned Christ, St. Francis and the Catholic Church.  The group existed to promote the Gospel and evangelical counsels. However, it is now a cult of social worker and activist wannabes who want to be everything to everyone while watering down the Catholic faith.  Jim Goode is an example who blocked me for voicing my opinion against illegal immigration. He is known for abusing the Liturgy and making the priesthood into a display of hippie culture.

Over the weekend, one of their members, Daniel Horan, OFM tweeted his support for the pro-abortion women's march. He praised the participation Franciscan friars at the event and was present himself. He tweeted this:

The tweet brought out the wrath of faithful Catholics who found his tweet offensive and scandalous. Many took to Twitter to voice their disgust and rebuke the young friar. He immediately became defensive by calling fellow Catholics "trolls," "self-righteous," "pharisees," "demons," and a host of other uncharitable and unchristian names. Horan even tried to excuse his and his friar-friends participation by conflating it with Jesus' eating and sitting with sinners:

This guy is something else. As blogger and author Brian Niemeier pointed out in his post found here: http://www.brianniemeier.com/2017/01/stumbling-block-of-year-frontrunner.html, Horan fails to realize that this women's march was formed solely to fight for abortion rights. The seamless garment philosophy is not applicable here.

 Brian Niemeier writes:

"If you haven't been paying attention to the Creepy Male Feminists Punch Normal Women March--not that you can be blamed for ignoring it--note that it was an exclusively pro-infanticide event whose organizers disinvited pro-life groups.
A Women's March representative specifically told pro-life activist Abby Johnson that "partnering groups must support 'reproductive rights'--which might be an even more unctuous euphemism for butchering unborn children than "choice".
And if you still don't see the glaring problem with Horan's involvement in this clown funeral, let's connect some dots.
Catechism of the Catholic Church #2284:
Scandal is an attitude or behavior which leads another to do evil. the person who gives scandal becomes his neighbor's tempter. He damages virtue and integrity; he may even draw his brother into spiritual death. Scandal is a grave offense if by deed or omission another is deliberately led into a grave offense.
CCC #2271:
Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law...
I can't see into Daniel Horan's heart, so I don't know if the implicit approval he's giving to abortion is deliberately intended to sow confusion about the Church's consistent and unalterable teaching, or if he's invincibly ignorant about what he's done. But I do know that he has a) publicly displayed attitudes and behaviors contrary to Church doctrine in regard to b) a grave moral matter. So he IS giving scandal, and if he's doing it freely and with full knowledge, he's committing mortal sin."

Niemeier is correct. Horan is causing scandal and disregarding the Church's teaching. Think about it. Just because Jesus ate and hanged out with sinners does not mean Catholics can now march at KKK marches, Nazi marches and what not. Scripture itself says to have nothing to do with evil (Ephesians 5:11).  Horan's narrow view seems to prevent him from seeing this.

I myself took to Twitter to correct Horan.

People like Horan do not surprise me at all.  As stated, this order has gone to hell a long time ago. They are the embodiment of contradiction and hypocrisy.  The order ordains homosexuals and turns a blind eye to the Church's teachings.

I invite fellow and faithful Catholics to rebuke Horan and complain to his order.  Do not provide financial aid to this heretical order.  Let them die out.  God will raise up a new St. Francis and perhaps start a better group.

  1. In my opinion, the Franciscans, like the Jesuits, are now little more than a private homosexual club whose members "fight" (if you can call shooting your mouth off "fighting") for their favorite social justice causes, in order to justify and garner support for their own perversion.

    1. Have you seen their Facebook group where they posted photos of themselves drinking at a Gay bar/club?
