Pope Francis "Gay... who am I to Judge?"

While on the plane during World Youth day 2013, the Pope had a press conference.  The reporters on hand asked him different questions, but one has been very popular and spun in so many ways with the media.

"Pope Francis says Gays are OKAY," "Pope Francis approves of Gay Priests," "Pope Francis Contradicts Pope Benedict XVI,"  the titles go on and on, but you get the point.  The media immediately misinterpreted Pope Francis' answer into a statement of approval of the gay lifestyle.

Let me backtrack a bit.  Pope Francis was asked about the so-called "Gay Lobby" at the Vatican to which he responded:

“There is so much being written about the gay lobby. I haven’t met anyone in the Vatican yet who has “gay” written on their identity cards. There is a distinction between being gay, being this way inclined and lobbying. Lobbies are not good. If a gay person is in eager search of God, who am I to judge them? The Catholic Church teaches that gay people should not be discriminated against; they should be made to feel welcome. Being gay is not the problem, lobbying is the problem and this goes for any type of lobby, business lobbies, political lobbies and Masonic lobbies."

The underlined words in bold are what is causing a media frenzy.  From these words, the media and others have come to the conclusion that the Pope is endorsing the LGBT agenda.  However, this is not the case at all.  If one listens to the interview, one can understand the context.  Cherry picking words and phrases often brings about these gossip-type situations.  The media is like the telephone game where the message changes as it travels.  Anyhow, the Pope was speaking on those "gays" or better said; homosexuals who search for God with good intentions.

In other words, Homosexuals who are Catholic, or even in the priesthood or religious life and strive to follow Christ's teachings in the Church are okay and no one should judge them for having homosexual tendencies.  These people are courageous because despite having this condition, they strive to live a chaste life in accordance with the Church's teachings and do not give in to the desires of the flesh.  So the Pope is saying that priests who are homosexual, but are following the Lord with good will should not be subject to judgment.   These priests have homosexual tendencies, but do not let it get the best of them.

There is nothing heretical about this.  This is what the Catechism states on the matter:

Chastity and homosexuality
2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.
(Catechism of the Catholic Church)

My only issue with the Pope's words is the use of the word "Gay."  He should have said 'Homosexual' instead to make the distinction between the condition (Homosexual) and a person living the lifestyle (Gay).  In any event, the reporter used the word in the question, so the Pope probably used it again in order to keep the answer coherent.

Something similar was done to Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI when his comments regarding condoms were taken out of context.

It is important to verify news before believing its contents.  I waited almost three days in order to post this because I wanted to see the interview in its raw form without any extra audio feeds or translations of sorts.  Once I saw the interview, I understood that the Pope was speaking in a pastoral manner without contradicting Church teaching.

Twitter Abuse Changes

Those of you who have twitter know that they have different ways of reporting abuse.  The most common way is to use the spam button.  However, these features don't always work.  Because of its inadequacy, abusers have free reign to abuse other users.  This was the case with the suspended accounts @rosarubicondior and @deepsearch, etc.  It took many reports, but finally they were removed.

Twitter can be a fun place.  Its purpose is not to have debates, but to post short status updates.  This is similar to Myspace's and Facebook's status updates which others can't wait to update with a sense of self-importance.  However, twitter has often become a place where bullying, harassment and even rape and death threats have become far too common.

Recently, a British activist,  Caroline Criado-Perez started a petition to forced the hand of Twitter to pay more attention to the abuse that goes on among Twitter users.  Perez was harassed online and received angry tweets threatening to rape and kill her.  When I started twitter, I too received tweets from 2 atheists saying they will kill my family.  I reported it to Florida police since their accounts were traced to that area.

This kind of abuse has to stop.  Not only are these threats serious, but also defamation of character tweets.  The atheist accounts I had suspended were suspended for promoting links with falsehoods claiming I am a high school child who went to a seminary that never existed.   I'm still reporting whoever is promoting these lies and am taking legal action against the originator of this libel.

I'm glad Twitter finally is waking up and is making changes after Perez started a petition.  They will add a report button to each tweet so users can make a report whenever they receive an abusive tweet.   I hope that with the absence of these abusive people, twitter can be a fun and safe place for all to post status updates.

Don't be afraid to report anyone abusive.  This is not an attack against free speech.  Email me for a list of abusive accounts that I constantly make twitter aware of.

World Youth Day Rio 2013

World Youth Day 2013 has just concluded and it was a huge success.  Over 3 million young people attended and had the time of their lives while nourishing their Catholic Faith in Jesus Christ.

World Youth Day was initiated by Blessed Pope John Paul II and has been an ongoing tradition on the local and international level.  Its purpose is to aid the young people in their spiritual growth by providing Liturgies, catechesis, and other activities geared towards their age appropriate psychology.

Pope Francis experienced his first World Youth Day as Pontiff and seemed to have enjoyed every second of it.  The trip had a few scary moments when a bomb was discovered in a toilet at a Shrine the Pope was scheduled to visit.  Also, the Fiat carrying Pope Francis went on the wrong street and right into traffic.  Crowds stormed the Fiat and security was overwhelmed and obviously sweating buckets out of nervousness.  Pope Francis didn't seem to mind since he made it clear from the beginning that he wanted to be with the people and not isolated.

During his appearances, Pope Francis spoke about renewal, trust in God, evangelization, rebellion against the secularist cultures of the world and openness to God's will.  He called on Bishops to not be afraid to go to their flocks to the point of having their "scent" on them.  He called on them and priests to leave the walls of their rectories and be witnesses on the streets.  To the youth, he called on them to cause a "mess" in society; to rebel against the ideas that the world is presenting by bringing the Gospel to it.  He criticized the world's view that marriage is outdated or out of style and said that marriage is always in style.

Pope Francis also visited a hospital, and a slum in Rio.  The latter was significant because this slum is known to be a place where drug cartels and other criminals dwell and where people live in horrible conditions.  However, this did not matter to Pope Francis who made it a mission to be with the people regardless of their condition.  He challenged governments to pay attention to all people and not just the wealthy.

Meanwhile, there were protests against the Brazilian government nearby; however, they did not protest the Pope's visit.  Only a few made comments claiming that the World Youth Day was a waste of money.  However, what of those soccer games?  Soccer games in Brazil often erupt in violence and the security costs are in the clouds.  Why not complain over that waste of money?  Security and its cost would not be an issue if people behaved at soccer games.

There were few protests against the Pope, but these were from the typical feminists and pro-contraception groups who are upset with the Church's teachings.  These people usually go in order to start trouble or because they are envious and want to ruin the "party."

No incidents were reported and for the most part, the pilgrims of World Youth day returned peace and love to those who protested their gathering.  Thank God, nothing was witnessed like that in Madrid where throngs of angry secularists harassed youth coming for World Youth Day.

Bishops Dancing
Unfortunately, there are some Catholics who find issue with this event.  They call it the Catholic version of "Woodstock" and often criticize how the faith is presented to the youth.  There is an uproar on the Catholic blogosphere regarding "Father Z's" post where he seems to insinuate that a video of Bishops dancing is similar to Nazis saluting Hitler.

I was appalled by it and really don't understand why he is so upset about it.  This event is geared towards the youth.  When evangelizing, we must know the psychology of the people we are ministering to.  I see nothing wrong with the bishops "dancing" during this event as long as it is outside of the Liturgy.  Psalm 149:3 says, "Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!"  Father Z has to realize this and not be tempted to become a Pharisee concerned with externals.

If you are reading this and were part of the World Youth day at Brazil, please contact me.  I would love to hear your stories so I can blog on them.

Atheism on the Decline

Atheism is on the decline, according to a new study.  The study conducted by the Center for the Study of Global Christianity in Massachusetts has demonstrated that Christianity is replacing atheism in places where atheism has be thought to be increasing.

This comes to no surprise.  Atheism does not have the credentials needed in order to be rationally accepted by the educated person.  It proposes the non-existence of God without supplanting that claim with evidence - something they constantly request of theists.

Atheist leaders such as Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris must start pressing the 'panic button.'  The "Militant Atheism" agenda is nothing but a movement based on propaganda, emotivism and ignorance.  We all are hardwired for belief in God.  There is no way around this biological fact.  Atheists exist because they willingly refuse to acknowledge the existence of God and the supernatural.

I wrote about the rates of atheism in comparison with religion in these two posts:

Atheists on Twitter are also on the decline especially after I had Twitter troll and abusive atheist "Rosa Rubicondior" removed.  Hopefully Twitter will now become a more civil place.

The cry that "atheism is growing" is nothing but propaganda.  Religon is here and will not go anywhere but up in numbers.

Over 3 million pack Copacobana beach for WYD 2013
This week, the Catholic Church had its World Youth day which is a series of days celebrating the Faith in Christ Jesus in a way that is geared towards the youth.

This year's World Youth Day was held in Brazil and nearly broke the record with over 3 million participants.  Imagine, 3 million young people gathering in undesirable local conditions just to hear the Gospel being preached by an elderly man called the "Pope."

He is not performing tricks, or dancing.  He is not singing in a boy band or rapping; he is preaching the Gospel via words and example.  No musician can ever gather the crowds that Christ gathers before His Vicar on Earth, the Pope.

Science, Theology and Philosophy are killing atheism.  As Schroeder wrote: "The relationship between early modern atheism and science tended to embarrass rather than strengthen the fledgling atheism's case."

Atheism only attracts those who are attracted to bad behavior. Some psychologists call this the
"Reason Rally" in Wash. DC, 2012; only a few hundred attended
"Misfit syndrome."  Remember in elementary school; there was always that kid that had to be naughty for some reason?

Remember that he/she found pleasure in bullying, asking the teacher stupid questions or making smart remarks?

Well, this is the typical atheist of today.  They are adults with this kind of  naughty child's mentality.

Let us continue fighting on and not be afraid to challenge atheism head on.

Atheists in my Lab

“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts. Jeremiah 31:33

After I took down the atheist caricature Twitter troll "Rosa Rubicondior," I've noticed an interesting phenomenon. Atheists began to admonish me for it and for my "gloating." They used the terms, "how Christian of you," "God is watching," etc; to somehow put a guilt trip on me. This is interesting because these are individuals who do not believe in God, mock the Bible and Christianity as "Bronze Age superstition" with "outdated" morals.

See some of the Tweets I got:

The question I ask is:

If Christianity is "superstition" and has "outdated" morals, then why are you applying them on my online behavior if you do not care for those morals and ideologies?

The truth of the matter here is that these atheists are demonstrating cognitive dissonance. They cannot strictly adhere to one set of values and a particular ideology, but instead blend variations found in society to suit their needs or current circumstance. This appears to be a cognitive and social defense mechanism of sorts.

Think about it:

If Atheists do not care for Christianity and its values and morals, then why be so concerned about my public display of jubilation? Why adhere and give credence to those Christian ideas that they reject in this circumstance? If anything, they should be approving of my display and not admonish me for it since they do not care for Christian morals and right conduct.

This cognitive dissonance is the weak spot in the atheist. It is from here that Christians can open a hole to the atheist's heart and mind so he/she can accept God. If he/she is criticizing you as if he/she were a Christian, then the seed is already in them. Jeremiah 31:33' words are alive in them already.  Our job is to water it.  God's sun rays (grace) will take care of the rest.

What is Sacerdotus doing!?

Some of you have been wondering why I have been taunting atheists and celebrating the suspension of their leader on twitter, "Rosa Rubicondior."

I understand the confusion and the scandal it may have caused; however, before making judgements against me, understand the reasoning behind it.

When I created my account in the summer of 2011, I used the pen name "sacerdotus" based on what I read on Solanus Casey. According to what I had read, "Sacerdotus" was an old title used to designate seminarians, novices or those who are not ordained but are merely "minor priests" or "students."

This does not mean that every instance of "Sacerdotus" is me.  Naturally, others probably use the same name such as in the case on Youtube where someone is using it to post videos about racing. This would eventually lead to blog posts claiming I am linked to every one on the internet who may have used "sacerdotus" as a screen name and what not.

Furthermore, my first 20 or so tweets on Twitter were prayer intentions and quotes. I was not aware of the mentions feature at first. When I learned of it, I was appalled at the vulgarity and hate I received. To each of my tweets, atheists, pro-abortion supporters, LGBT advocates replied with atrocities. "Rosa Rubicondior" was one who replied to one of my tweets in a inquisitive manner at first.

We exchanged for a bit on twitter and then out of nowhere, "Rosa Rubicondior" became rude and blocked me. I ignored it at first until I noticed that "Rosa Rubicondior" continued messaging me while having me blocked. I could not reply. I then did some research on the atheism hash tag and found that "Rosa Rubicondior" was very active. He tweeted his links and requested donations supposedly for charity. I also noticed that he had a blog and I took a look at it. The blog posts were extremely offensive and demonstrated a science illiteracy unlike anything I have seen before.

I picked a few that seemed interesting and gave a critique on them since I have a science background. News of this reached "Rosa Rubicondior" and he saw it as some sort of competition or challenge. When I started to notice that atheists on twitter were flocking to me. I decided to make the blog to use as a channel for dialog solely for atheists and agnostics. Since "Rosa Rubicondior" presented himself as the leader of twitter atheists and atheists looked to him as their "magesterium" of sorts, I invited him to a debate. He accepted and I thought we would have a great time doing it. Unfortunately, "Rosa Rubicondior" began to claim victory without even posting an opening statement. He insisted that I gave up and was afraid to debate him. This behavior bothered me because it is not normal.

I then realized that this "rosa rubicondior" was nothing more than a caricature account. A comical account pretending to be representative of atheism. In light of this, I made a video showing the debate and "Rosa Rubicondior's stalling tactics. Atheists and others laughed at it and were shocked at "Rosa Rubicondior's" distraction techniques. This angered him and he began a campaign to get me suspended, as well as clergy and religious. I too documented this in another video made to poke fun at this comical account since I did not take it seriously.

"Rosa Rubicondior" then began to claim that anyone who talked to me was me. It was just madness! Things calmed down until March 2013 where "Rosa Rubicondior" began to make a blog post claiming I was some high school kid that got kicked out of a seminary that does not even exist. On top of that, anyone that followed me or mentioned me were messaged by "Rosa Rubicondior" in an attempt to discredit me. I had to take action and documented every thing. Others documented "Rosa Rubicondior's" messages as well, including the abuse they received themselves. All of this was presented to Twitter directly and they suspended "Rosa Rubicondior" around late May/June. "Rosa Rubicondior" denied it because the suspension was a brief warning.

These are just some (from thousands) of the tweets documented and shown to Twitter.  Remember, many others (Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Hindus, Atheists) documented their own experiences with "Rosa Rubicondior."

Instead of learning from this suspension, "Rosa Rubicondior" continued harassing and defaming me and others. This time, Twitter suspended him without warning.  He could not come back and made another screen name which was suspended as well.

He messaged me with it and blocked as usual.  I was not aware of his suspension until he messaged me with this new screen name.  When I saw it, I got curious because the photo of the "old lady" seemed familiar and then I realized it was him after his "Rosa Rubicondior" said "suspended" when I clicked on it.

His atheist flock is scattered now and angry at me claiming I am a coward and am the abuser despite my blogs showing her very own abusive tweets embedded using HTML as well as screen captures that I added to videos I made.

I complained to Twitter and told them they would retaliate and that twitter has to monitor every atheist that mentions me so they can know who to suspend.   They are also looking for any new accounts "Rosa Rubicondior" may make.

So this is basically what has been going on. In regards to my taunts of the suspension. The reason why I did this was to draw the attention of atheist trolls so twitter can see who they are and suspend them as well. It was a bait tactic.

I knew that by "gloating," this would enrage twitter trolls and they would be forced to come out of their "caves" and present themselves as they really are so twitter could monitor them and document their abuse.

Let me be clear that this was one of my last options. I did try to mediate things with "Rosa Rubicondior" behind the scenes by asking another atheist to mediate. "Rosa Rubicondior's" response was basically "no" and promised to continue harassing me and others.

Here is the email I sent to an atheist asking him to mediate:

"I have a blog post which I am about to post publicly that explains the
abuse Rubicondior is demonstrating with that minor as well as other

According to my research, no such kid exists in the Bronx school
mentioned. Furthermore, St. Joseph's seminary never had anyone with that
name, neither the Franciscans.

I do not know where Rubicondior got this information from, but it is
bogus. Since you are friendly with Rubicondior, can you request that all
twitter, blog posts, comments and mentions of this child be removed? I
will remove blog posts relating to Rubicondior's abuse as well.

If not, I will have to post what I wrote which will seriously affect
Rubicondior and those involved. It will cause trouble with Rubicondior's
employment and other aspects of life.

I'm trying to be nice here. If Rubicondior dislikes me, Rubicondior
should take it out on me, not some random kid.

The atheist replied:
"Give me some time to speak with her, I'll respond after conversing with
> her."
I replied:
"Thanks. I don't know how all of this got to this point. All I wanted to
have was a debate and Rosa took this too far. But I think another guy
gave her this information.

I don't care if she writes a blog about me like that shogun guy did, but
why put a kid in the middle who has no fault?"
The atheist gave "Rosa Rubicondior's" response which basically said, no go
ahead post the blog
"She said feel free to post your blog page."

I posted comments on "Rosa Rubicondior's " blog, but he did not post them.   I had no other choice that to bring him down hard on Twitter and will subpoena Google to erase his blog for good as well as any other blogs mentioning me. Depending on what happens afterwards, I will press charges against him via the United Kingdom's court system.

Juror B29

Juror B29 was recently interviewed by ABC news and made a bombshell statement regarding Zimmerman.  She claimed that he 'got away with murder.' This juror decided to show her face and gave the name "Maddy."  She is of Puerto Rican descent.

Maddy stated during the interview:

“You can’t put the man in jail even though in our hearts we felt he was guilty.”

Appearently, she feels that Zimmerman is guilty but decided to give a not guilty verdict.  This sounds strange to me.  If she felt he was guilty, why did she give the not guilty verdict?

Moreover, she continued,
“It’s hard for me to sleep, it’s hard for me to eat because I feel I was forcefully included in Trayvon Martin’s death. And as I carry him on my back, I’m hurting as much Trayvon’s Martin’s mother because there’s no way that any mother should feel that pain.”

I'm not too sure that this juror is being honest with herself.  I think she is claiming this now in order to draw the public's anger away from her.  She showed her face, so she clearly had to find a way to draw the anger away so that she would not become a target herself.

Perhaps she is doing this to draw attention and profit?  Who knows?

This trial and the aftermath is a complete circus.

Carlos Danger

Anthony Weiner is at it again.  He had resigned from Congress after it was revealed that he was "Sexting" with other women.

"Sexting" is when people take lewd photos of themselves with cell phones and send them to other parties.  Weiner sent pictures of himself to younger women, embarrassing himself and his wife Huma.  At first he claimed that someone hacked his account, but later confessed to being the sender.

He left public eye for some time only to resurface again as a mayoral candidate for the city of New York.  Ironically, despite the scandal, he was leading in the polls, even ahead of Councilwoman Christine Quinn.

Today, Weiner confessed once again to sexting right after stepping down from Congress.  Again, his wife Huma was left feeling awkward and betrayed.  He used the pseudonym "Carlos Danger" to conduct this bad behavior.

It seems that Weiner has a compulsive behavior problem.  He is addicted to the reward that he gets from sexting with others.  The entire phenomenon of sexting is strange indeed.  It seems that people who sext shut off their conscience and reasoning skills.  They seem to not be aware that they are exposing their intimate parts to the entire world.  These photographs will last forever online and will do serious harm to one's reputation.

Anthony Weiner has to step down once again.  He is not fit to be a leader.  This man is obviously suffering from mental illness and he needs to get immediate attention.

Pope's First Trip and William's First Child

In the news

Pope Francis has just arrived in Brazil and was greeting by millions.  He chose to leave the traditional bullet proof "Popemobile" back in Rome and chose an open jeep instead.  While traveling via motorcade, his vehicle was swarmed by mobs of people trying to get a glimpse and handshake from the Pontiff who had his window open.  Security forces wrestled with people as they stormed the vehicle.

The Pope even got stuck in traffic which must have been a nightmare for security. Nevertheless, all went well and the Pontiff arrived safely to the official welcoming ceremony.

Prior to his arrival in Brazil, the military found a homemade explosive at the Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida.  The bomb was destroyed.

The Duchess of Cambridge gives Birth.

Kate Middleton has just given birth to an 8 lb boy.  Those who are fond of the British monarchy have been waiting in anticipation for the news.  Many are gathered outside of the hospital as well as at Buckingham palace celebrating the occasion.  The name of the boy has not yet been revealed.

God save the crazy Queen

Queen Elizabeth II has just signed into law a bill that will legalize so-called "gay marriage" in the United Kingdom.  It is a sad moment indeed for this nation.  A nation once strong and proud of its Christian heritage has turned into a chaotic nation without any values or integrity.  Without consideration, the law was passed. No thought was given to the sanctity of marriage nor religious freedom.

It will be a rough time in the UK for Christians and Muslims.  The LGBT will try hard to silence religion in order to allow their lifestyle to be prevalent.  I am disappointed with Queen Elizabeth.  I thought she was a woman of conviction and morals.  Perhaps senility has kicked in?

Ironically, people of the same gender can marry now in the UK and any protest of that is called “discrimination,” yet a royal cannot marry a Catholic without breaking the law… go figure that one out.
We must pray for the United Kingdom.

Twitter Indulgence?

News reports have gone out claiming that the Pope will be granting indulgences via twitter.  This is not entirely true.  Pope Francis has granted plenary indulgences to those who are participating in World Youth Day 2013.  He also extended the indulgence to those who cannot participate physically, but will be united with the youth in spirit.  This can apply to those who follow the events via the media or social networking.

This does not mean that one will have sins forgiven or will receive indulgences just by following @pontifex.  One must fulfill the requirements in order to receive the indulgence.

What is an indulgence?
"An indulgence is a remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven, which the faithful Christian who is duly disposed gains under certain prescribed conditions through the action of the Church which, as the minister of redemption, dispenses and applies with authority the treasury of the satisfactions of Christ and the saints."81
"An indulgence is partial or plenary according as it removes either part or all of the temporal punishment due to sin."82 The faithful can gain indulgences for themselves or apply them to the dead.83

See here on the requirements to obtain a plenary indulgence:

Marc Anthony Racism

Baseball is one of my favorite sports to play and watch.  Naturally, the All Star game is a must for me.  I was privilege to attend the one at the Old Yankee Stadium in 2008 and had fun.

Baseball is America's pastime.  It is the game that has helped Americans direct their focus from daily stresses and national tragedies.  However, this year's All Star game was tarnished.

Puerto Rican singer Marc Anthony, a New Yorker or "NuyoRican" was invited to give his interpretation of "God Bless America."  This hymn is sung during the 7th inning stretch in many baseball stadiums.  It is a song that calls on the Creator who grants us inalienable rights and has allowed our nation to prosper to continue blessing the nation.

However, some ignorant trolls took to Twitter and began tweeting racist tweets against Marc Anthony.  Derogatory terms were directed at him as well as Mexicans.  These people gave away their ignorance not only because of the racism, but for the mere fact that they believed Marc Anthony to be of Mexican descent.

Marc Anthony is American born of Puerto Rican descent.  Not only is he American by birth, but also for the mere fact that Puerto Ricans are already citizens because Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States of America.  Whether born in the States or on the island, Puerto Ricans enjoy American citizenship and are proud of that, even though other Hispanics often mock Puerto Ricans for not having "independence."  However, this is most likely due to envy because many non-Puerto Rican Hispanics risk their lives to come to this nation yet have the nerve to mock Puerto Ricans for having citizenship.

Moreover, the angry tweets criticized that the hymn "God Bless America" was sung by a non-America (according to them).  However, this once again shows their ignorance.  The composer of this hymn was Irving Berlin, an immigrant born in Russia of Jewish descent.  The irony right?

In closing, it is sad to learn that these things still happen in American society in the 21st century.  We need to work more to educate our young people so that they will not grow up with misconceptions and prejudices against any group.

I invite all to file a report to Twitter against these racists who use the site to abuse others.
These are the tweets and the accounts who wrote them.  I will add more as I learn of them:

A similar outpouring of xenophobia happened when Cuban Yoenis Cespedes won the HomeRun Derby and was interviewed in English.  See

I will write on this at a later time.

Perry Signs Abortion Law

Hip hip horay!

A big cheer for Texas.  Governor Perry has signed a bill that would restrict most abortions past 20 weeks. This new law will also do great damage to the pro-abortion industry which brings in big bucks.  The law is not perfect, but it gives a huge blow to abortion.

Ironically, it was in Texas where the pro-abortion movement began.  Norma McCorvey, also known as "Jane Roe" was the one who took the state to court claiming abortion was a "right" for women.  It seems right for Texas to be the place where abortion would be pushed back into the pits of hell where it came from.

Despite silly efforts by politicians such as Wendy Davis and pro-abortion advocates, the bill passed its final hurdles and Governor Perry made it official.  We can only hope and pray that other courageous politicians will follow suit and push for laws that chip away abortion from American society.

By the way, "hail Satan" didn't work.

Rolling Stone Crumbles

"RollingStone," the famous magazine is now in a big controversy.  They put Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the front cover with the title, "The Bomber, How a Popular, Promsining Student Fell Into Radical Islam and Became a Monster."  The issue covers the life of the young terrorist and presents theories regarding why he turned into a terrorist.

Many retailers have vowed not to carry the issue and victims of the Boston Marathon bombing as well as others are protesting it.  They claim that the issue is glorifying the terrorist, "slaps the victims in the face," and is in bad taste.

I agree with them 100%.  This demented kid should not be on the cover of popular magazine. "RollingStone" is a well known media outlet for its articles; however, this time, the "Rolling Stone" is due to its collapse and destabilization from the foundation of common sense.  How can they even dare put this evil guy on the front cover?  I understand writing an article on him and his actions like any other news outlet would, but why the front cover?  Is it because he is "cute" and seems to have captured the pity of some people because of his age?

I was appalled when he was being hunted down as I read tweets from women describing him as "sexy" and "cute."  Some were even tweeting not to kill him because they want to have his kids! Seriously?  This guy and his brother planned an attack on people and carried it out.  People had their limbs blow off, four people died, three from the bombings and one was gunned down by the brothers.  There is nothing "sexy" or "cute" about this guy, nor should anyone feel pity for him.  No woman should desire having his kids, he should be neutered.

He was of age to know what he was doing and even gloated about it, according to reports. Dzhokhar is not a small child who was brainwashed by his older brother.  He is a 19 year old man capable of deciding for himself.  In this case, he chose to join his older brother in doing evil.
Putting this terrorist on the front cover will inspire also psychopaths out there to hurt others in order to get attention.  Every psychopath enjoys attention; narcissim is part of their psyche.  They will see this issue as a reward.

I hope RollingStone destroys every copy of this issue and apologizes to the victims.  If they are going to do a story on this evil guy, then he should be on the last page, and the money made from it should go to the victims.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Today is the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  This is another title upon which Our Lady is invoked.

There is only ONE Blessed Mother Mary, but the Church has many titles for her; and rightfully so, she is the model for all Christians to imitate if they wish to be Christ-like.

The feast day has its origin within the Carmelite tradition. The Carmelite order is a religious group of priests, brothers and sisters who take vows.  It is believed that this group originated with Elijah and Elisha of the Old Testament.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to St. Simon Stock on July 16, 1251 and introduced the sacramental called the "Brown Scapular." The Brown Scapular is a cloth that is placed over the shoulders with one piece resting on the mid back and the other on the mid chest. This is why the word "scapular" is used which comes from 'scapula' or the shoulder blade.  Brown Scapulars are usually made of wool and symbolize the yolk of Christ.(Matthew 11:30)  A larger version is used by different religious orders within the Catholic Church.

The Brown Scapular has to be imposed with a specific rite. Not anyone can just wear it and expect to receive the spiritual benefits. Those spiritual benefits include indulgences, special protection from danger, graces to aid in perseverance and deliverance from Purgatory.

Take this Scapular, it shall be a sign of salvation, a protection in danger and a pledge of peace. Whosoever dies wearing this Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire.
                                                                        - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel to St. Simon Stock

May Our Lady of Mount Carmel pray for us and for the souls in Purgatory.

Trayvon Protests

Hours after George Zimmerman was found not guilty for manslaughter, thousands of protesters have taken to the streets in many cities around the United States.  They are crying foul.  To them, the verdict should have been guilty.  They are basing this on the idea that race was involved.

Unfortunately, there is a social stigma that seems to follow African Americans.  They seem to be the target of injustice and abuse.  Those who fight for civil rights such as, Al Sharpton claim that Blacks are not given justice.  When they are killed, their killers are freed.

Al Sharpton is no stranger to controversy.  He is known for race baiting and seems to be present almost instantaneously whenever an African American is abused or killed by a member of another race and there is media attention around the incident.  Prior to the verdict, Sharpton has been inciting riots by claiming that Trayvon was being denied justice because of the color of his skin. The media as well has played a role in race being the issue during the trial.  They began to air reports claiming that Zimmerman was profiling Trayvon for wearing a hoodie and for being Black.  The media fed the people this lie and those who are gullible believed it and are now unhappy with our judicial system.

According to the 911 tapes, Zimmerman never describe Trayvon as Black until the operator asked him the race of the one he spotted in the neighborhood.  Trayvon was not profiled based on the evidence.  The media was wrong in presenting this to the public.  Moreover, Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have to stop race baiting. America has come far in erasing prejudice from our way of life and opening old woulds will not help.

Thousands are protesting throughout the United States ignoring President Obama's call for calm and reflection.  In California, a police car was vandalized, in New York protestors disrupted traffic and in other cities, vandalism has been reported.  In Baltimore, a Hispanic man was beaten by a group of black men as they shouted, "this is for Trayvon."

All this violence is on the hands of Sharpton, Jackson and the media.  People who are upset at the verdict must understand how our system works.  Zimmerman was judged by a jury of his peers.  They observed the evidence and found him not guilty because the evidence indicated that the whole incident was based on self-defense.  There was no evidence that Zimmerman was out to kill black boys.

In Chicago, a 16 year old African American boy was killed by another African American for not joining a gang.  The media is silent on this.  Sharpton and company are no where to be found.  This double standard is troubling to say the least.

Sharpton and Jackson claim to be "reverends," but would Christ race bait?  Would Christ call for division?  Furthermore, Trayvon's parents have to speak out and call on peace and calm. I called on Sharpton and Trayvon's father to promote peace and calm.  May God bring peace to all and may we all be tolerant of one another.

Atheism Dilemma V

As you read the uneducated tweets above from so-called "atheists," did you notice the trend?  They all mention "reality."

Atheists often bring up the word in an attempt to mock believers by claiming that they (atheists) hold the true perception of reality, while believers live in a "fantasy" world.  To them, Christians are "delusional." They worship a "fictitious being" a "sky fairy," while the atheist is in the "real world" made of material that can be perceived by the senses and examined via the scientific method.

There is a big dilemma here that these atheists above and all others have:

Reality is not what they think it is.

The world we perceive, the universe we see and send satellites and telescopes to study is not as it seems.  The water you shower in, the food you eat, the people you hug and kiss; each are not what they seem.  What do I mean by this?

Well, we all are made up of atoms. Atoms are mostly empty space with a nucleus in the middle which is very small.  Think of it as a stadium representing an atom and a baseball in the middle representing the nucleus.  This is how an atom basically is structured.

The shell of the atom is created by electrons spinning around the atom protecting it with an electromagnetic field, just like a stadium has a circular wall.  Without this electromagnetic field, atoms would touch each other and will annihilate one another.  In other words, everything that we know to exist would explode instantly if we did not have these electrons generating this field and preventing the atoms from touching.

Here is where it gets even more weird.

We are not Solid and Touch is an illusion:

Since we are mostly space, how come we don't pass through each other like "ghosts?"  Why are we "solid?" Well the answer is simple and mind blowing at the same time.  We are not solid. Solidity is an illusion.  What we perceive as solid are the electromagnetic fields repelling one another.  In other words, when atoms bump into each other via the electromagnetic field, that "bump" is caused by the repulsion or the coulomb repulsion. This repulsion is what we perceive as "solid" or touch. Depending how strong the force around the atom is determines whether or not the material we are "touching" is hard or soft, liquid or gas, etc.  The field around liquid or softer material is weaken, so this is why our fingers can enter easily in water and why we can crumble snow in our hands.  The field around metal or a rock is stronger, this is why we cannot easily press into them.

Think of it as having two magnets with differ poles.  When you try to put the magnets together, they repel each other. You can feel something pushing both magnets apart or away from each other.  This same force is what we perceive every time we "touch" something. However, in reality, we are NOT touching anything, just like the two magnets are not "touching." We are perceiving the force around atoms. Each electron releases a differ charge and these charges tell our senses what it is we are "touching."  Our brains are pretty much left to figure out on its own what it is we are actually perceiving, nothing is exact.

The Lying Brain

As a matter of fact, when you touch your nose you seem to feel your finger touching your nose and your nose touching your finger right?  Wrong! There is actually a difference between the time it takes for a signal from your finger to reach your brain and the time it takes for a signal from the skin on your nose to reach the brain. Since the nose is closer the brain, the signal reaches the brain almost instantly.

However, when pertaining to your finger and the brain, the signal takes longer.  So how is it that we don't notice the delay in sensation?  Well, our brains lie to us!  Our brains compensate for the time difference by telling us that both signals are coming in at the same time allowing us to perceive that the nose and finger are touching at the same time.

Moreover, if you are sitting right now, you really are not. You are actually hovering over the chair one Angstrom or 10 ^-8 centimeters. Your rear end seems to be touching the chair, but it is not. What you "feel" is the repulsion of the electrons that make up the chair and the electrons that make up your clothing and buttocks.

Here comes the scary part.

We have a lonely existence:

We basically are trapped in a field of electrons and live a lonely existence never touching anything.  You may think that you are touching things, but in fact you never are. A hug from mom and dad feels great; or perhaps, that first kiss from your significant other, well, it never happened in the way you think it did.  You have never touched them.

That "great sex" you think you had was just an illusion - a bunch of forces repelling each other.  All you perceived are force fields which your brain told you were "hugs" or "kisses." All we have are fields and our brains telling us what it thinks those fields are.  This is what we call "reality."

Reality is pretty much what the brain tells us it thinks it is.  We have to have faith in this information and trust it to be in fact, "reality."  For all we know, we could be just a brain in a vat, or hooked up to a computer which feeds us "reality" like in the movie, "The Matrix."

We can never know for sure what "reality" is.  An atheist tweeted above that, "our senses are limited but our understanding of reality is far better thanks to science..." well there is a problem with this. Science is subject to our senses.  It is not independent of nature nor is it a conscious entity that bypasses nature. Science is processed via our senses.  We "touch" and "taste" samples, "smell" them, we "see" through microscopes or telescopes, we "hear" sounds and try to figure them out.

See the problem here?

All this information is processed via our senses and in the brain.  So this atheist's claim that "our understanding of reality is far better thanks to science" is not correct.

Star Trek's "holodeck" which gives the illusion of reality using force fields
Next time an atheist tells you that you believe in "fairy tales" or that they are the sole dwellers of"reality," remind them this physics lesson.

Physics in a way confirms "Solipsism" or the philosophical idea that our brains are all that exist and that "reality" is what the mind makes of it.

In "reality" (no pun intended), atheists live in a "fairy tale" of the mind along with everyone else.  The "reality" they are so fond of is really a bunch of electromagnetic fields in empty space repelling each other leaving the brain to interpret what each field is while at the same time giving the illusion that things are solid.

This begs the question: does reality really exist, or is it an illusion?

For all we know it could be a computer simulation like in the Star Trek "holodeck" where force fields are charged in a specific way in order to give the appearance of different kinds of matter. This is basically what "reality" is - a bunch of force fields structured in distinct ways in order to present what we perceive as "reality."

Any atheist that cites "reality" in an attempt to discredit faith does not understand science.  The tweets above demonstrate the scientific illiteracy of atheists who speak without knowing.
Claiming to be "in reality" and that believers rely on "blind faith" is a false dichotomy.  The truth of the matter is that the atheist him/herself is relying on "blind faith" when perceiving and accepting what he/she thinks is reality.  Here lies another dilemma in atheism.

These are actual atoms. Notice they do not touch.
