Bible Verse Argument Leads to Murder

"Thou shalt not kill," and "love your neighbor as yourself" are verses in the Bible most of us are aware of.  The Bible is referred to by many as the "Good Book." However, something good has been used for evil.  A college student from Georgia named Jacquell Smith was gunned down by his friend Rawkwon Pauldo after a heated debate on a biblical verse regarding, of all things, forgiveness.

I am sure atheists will have a field day with this tragedy.  However, any intelligent person knows that the Bible is not to blame here.  People argue and fight over anything. Let us not forget the atheist who shot the Muslims over a parking spot now... (see: http://www.sacerdotus.com/2015/05/atheist-killer-faces-death-penalty.html).  People lost their cool during passionate debates all the time.  Unfortunately, some go a bit too far and hurt their opponents or even kill them.

The Bible should never become a weapon to argue over or bash people with.  It is God's Word. The Bible is to be read and shared. Arguments over biblical verses are the result of the Protestant Reformation where Luther declared that all we need is the Bible and no Magesterium. Because of this, we have different front store "churches" with pastors giving different explanations for different verses. There are even times when one pastor shoots and kills another one over a bible verse (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/09/08/pastor-allegedly-shoots-kills-minister-during-argument-over-bible-at-retirement-home.html).  Only the Catholic Church can truly interpret Sacred Scripture.

People need to learn how to keep their cool during a debate of any kind.

Joe Girardi Out as Yankees' Manager

The New York Yankees have decided to let go of manager Joe Girardi.  He will not be returning for the 2018 season.  Girardi was a Yankees catcher himself in the 90's.  He was part of the dynasty led by Joe Torre which featured greats such as Paul o'Neil, Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera.  In 2009, he took the Yankees to the World Series bringing them their 27th championship.

I will update this post as I learn more details.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson Accused of Rape & Sued for Copyright Infringement

After the scandals surrounding the sexual harassment and assaults perpetrated by Harvey Weinstein, we have seen many men fall for similar things. Well, it seems one "star" is possibly set to fall from the sky, so to speak.

Ironically, this "star" works in the field of studying the real ones in space. Astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson who coined himself as America's personal astrophysicist is now being accused of sexual assault by a woman named Tchiya Amet. She claimed in a blog post in 2014 that Tyson drugged and raped her when he was a graduate student in Texas. She wrote:

"He offered me a glass of water. I accepted a liquid in a cup made out of a coconut shell. I recall coming back to consciousness briefly, then next thing I remember is seeing him in the hallway the next day. I have lived in this nightmare for 30 years, and it stops today."

"I know this will be difficult for many of you to believe, understand or to know. However, know that this is the truth. Those who know me well can attest to the fact that I lived with undiagnosed PTSD of [at] least 25 years."

"He talks about obstacles to reaching his goal of astrophysicist. Did anyone slip him a mickey? Perhaps this was his way of eliminating the competition….what a scam YOU are Mr. Tyson…"

"How does it feel to know that YOU are the reason there is one less [black] female galactic astronomer on this planet? Yes, YOU. How many freshman students did you give A’s to when they were failing? Were they really failing, or was that just an easy way to get free blow jobs?"

Amet claims to have been a student of Tyson's at UT-Austin where he began a Ph.D. program. It is interesting to note that Tyson had trouble at the university and transferred to Columbia. It is not exactly known why UT-Austin and Tyson had a rocky relationship.  So far, Tyson has not commented on the allegations and there seems to be no investigation taking place.  Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in this nation so we must withhold our opinions and wait to see if any strong evidence comes out that supports the allegations.  This does not mean that Amet is lying. It only means that everyone deserves due process.

Tyson is currently facing fraud charges by a former business partner, according to the Daily News.  A photographer and co-producer of Tysons famous "StarTalk" radio podcast named David Gamble filed a lawsuit against Tyson claiming that the aforementioned dismissed him while he was getting treatment for a kidney disorder and used his photos without permission.

CERN Study: Universe Should Not Exist

Most of us have looked up at the night sky and have enjoyed the majesty of the cosmos. Astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson has even created a catch phrase by saying, "keep looking up!" The Bible itself says that the heavens reveal the glory of God (Psalm 19:1).

One does not need a telescope to know how awesome and beautiful the universe is.  The fact that the universe is not something that exists apart from us, but, is in fact, part of us makes it even more amazing.  The atoms in our bodies are the same as those that make up the Sun, Moon and the Earth itself.  These atoms are the same that make up water, gold, air, soil, other stars and galaxies and so on.  However, why do these atoms take different forms? Obviously, the number, mass and charges of the particles explain this; however, the question why remains.

Scientists at CERN are wondering the same about the exitence of our universe. A new study led by Dr. Smorra has tried to figure out why the universe even exists. In the beginning of the universe, there was matter and anti-matter.  These two things annihilate one another upon contact.  However, they somehow remained stable enough to allow for our universe to form and exist.  How is this possible? This is where physicists are stumped.  The universe's existence does not make sense. Based on what we know, this universe should have imploded within seconds after the big bang took place. Physicists have found a perfect symmetry that exists between matter and antimatter.

Some physicists theorize that both forms of matter have different gravitational polarities.  Matter may have gravity that pulls things downward while anti-matter pulls things upward. This seperation of forces may account for the stability of the universe as it exists today. In order to learn more about this, CERN scientists are studying anti-protons to see if this hypothesis is correct.

I touch upon the perfect formation of our universe in my book "Atheism In Stupid." Many atheists disqualify God as the primal cause of our universe. They claim that random natural processes account for the creation and maintenance of the universe.  However, as the study by CERN shows, our universe simply does not make sense as existing simply on blind laws via random natural processes. There is an order to the universe; a mathematical order that can only be the product of intelligence.  The existence of our universe simply does not make sense due to the fact that anti-matter and matter exist and did not cause the universe to annihilate itself. We see the antropic principle at work, or the idea that our universe was formed to house life in a perfect order.

Astros Defeat Yankees in Game 7

After an exciting season, the Yankees' chase for 28 campaign has come to an end.  The Astros defeated the New York Yankees in a shut-out game 7.  Rumors now swirl about the return of Joe Girardi, Brian Cashman and CC Sabathia whose contracts are up at the end of the year.

The Yankees were the the underdogs in the series and the favorites to win and eventually face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.  However, the fairy tale season did not turn out the way the Yankees and their fans anticipated.

Astros pitching held back the Yankee offensive, including the modern "Sultan of Swat," Aaron Judge. The Yankees could just not hit against the pitching staff of the Astros.  The Astros found a way to hit Sebathia's pitches and scored runs and eventually added more via home runs.  During their celebration, Astros' pitcher, McCullers mocked the Yankees "thumbs-down" celebratory gesture.  Yankees third baseman, Todd Frazier popularized the gesture after witnessing a Mets fan at Citifield give a thumbs down after he homered.  The Yankees played there against Tampa Bay due to the passing of hurricane Maria in Florida, the hometown of the Tampa Bay Rays.  Yankees manager Joe Girardi claimed that CC Sabathia and a few other players were under the weather and this may have affecte dtheir play.

The Houston Astros are now getting ready to face the Los Angeles Dodgers at the World Series.  Yankees Manager Joe Girardi, General Manager Brian Cashman and CC Sabathia are now left to wonder if they will be in the Yankees organization for next year.  There is no word yet if the Yankees' front office will renew their contracts.

Boo 2! A Madea Halloween

I just got out of the theater after watching Boo 2 Madea's Halloween with my nephew and dad.  The movie had a lot of funny lines. However, there was a lot of cursing and sexual tones in the lines as well. I was expecting the movie to be a lot better than the first one. The storyline was pretty much the same. Tyler Perry's character "Brian," is once again struggling with his daughter Tiffany. Like in the first movie, she is still a disrespectful teen brat who annoys the seniors: Madea, Aunt Bam, Hattie and Joe.

It is Tiffany's 18th birthday and she wants to be more independent. Her dad still treats her as if she was a young girl. For her party, he has a petting zoo and a corny layout. Madea and her friends mock him for it.  They also mock him for gifting headphones to Tiffany while her mom gave her a car. Like in the first movie, Brian is presented as a beta male who is unable to be assertive, especially around his ex-wife. In this movie, we see his ex-wife and her current boyfriend/husband who is a pretty boy can't-get-my-hands-dirty type. The seniors scold Brian for not being assertive, as in the first movie.

We once again see Hattie take to the "dance floor" in this movie.  However, she does not show any flashy dance moves as in the aforementioned.  Rather, we see her as more frail.  She even collapses during the skit. Brian is presented as a push over. He hired as pair of twins to entertain Tiffany at her party.  However, Tiffany is not interested.  Instead, she has eyes on attending the frat party hosted by fraternity president Jonathan who is played by the hunky Youtuber, Yousef Erakat. This time, Jonathan checks ID in order to avoid minors attending his party. When Tiffany visits him, he is skeptical that she is an adult.  When he is convinced that she is in fact 18, he invites her to his party which is scheduled to take place at a lake where murders occurred.  Tiffany and her best friend are concerned at the location, but Tiffany goes ahead and accepts to attend.  Jonathan is glad and, of course, thinking about something else (sex). Tiffany ask her mother for permission to go to the party and is given it. Her mom is presented as careless and not concern with being a responsible parent. Tiffany convinces her friend to join her at the party despite her friend not wanting to go. Her friend lies to her father by telling him that she is staying with Tiffany at her mom's place.

When Brain finds out after Madea tells him after she overheard, he gets upset. Since he is a push over, he does nothing to prevent Tiffany from attending. In fact,he accepts it nonchalantly. We find out why later in the end of the movie. The rest of the movie deals with Tiffany partying at the lake while Madea and her friends and brother Joe travel in her famous Cadillac in order to protect Tiffany. However, both parties become the target of two girls dressed like zombies and a man with a chainsaw.  We see Madea and her friends cowardly run from the zombie-ghostly girls while on a dark road while kids at the party start disappearing. During this time, we see Madea and her friends make silly remarks and run around in fear like Shaggy and Scooby Doo.  Madea is shown once again running while saying "help me Jesus."  In the end, we learn that the attacks by the ghostly-zombie girls and chainsaw man were all planned out by Brian and Tiffany's friend's dad.  Tiffany's mom is presented at the precinct crying and concerned for her daughter while her boyfriend/husband is presented as a coward for refusing to go to the lake to help look for Tiffany.

Many people laughed in the theater as I watched the movie. As stated before, the movie pretty much was a repeat of the first one. The material was nearly identical which did not produce that real "laugh out loud" moment for me. The movie is entertaining, but vulgar for kids. There are positive lessons in it such as, not lying to parents and responsibility. However, fans of the Madea franchise may find this movie was just a representation of the first part.  There were more witty wise lines than the first, but the story line and a few performances were unoriginal.

Amoris Programme: Gay & Satanic?

Pope Francis' Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia has had its share of controversy.  Many have focused on the issue of Holy Communion for the divorced and remarried.  However, a programme booklet has gotten my attention for what appears to be something more sinister.  The World Meeting of Families which is scheduled to take place in Dublin, Ireland in August 2018,  For the occasion, a booklet was made which is to be used for instruction and discussion at parishes.

The cover made me raise my eyebrow like Star Trek's Mr. Spock.  In the "O" part of the title, we see a logo that appears to look like three 6's. Three 6's obviously calls to mind the number of the beast mentioned in Revelation 13:18.  Moreover, the 6's are shaped in a way that looks like "69."  The number "69" is used in the LGBTQ community as a code for a sexual position where two bodies lay on top of each other, but in opposite positions in order to sexually pleasure the sexual organs orally.  Furthermore, the lesbian imagery is also troubling.

Why is this Catholic Church sponsored even validating this perversion?

You reading this may think that this is all paranoia or superstition.  However, when we recall Sister Lucia's words prior to her death, all of this should make us wonder.  As you may know, Sister Lucia was the surviving visionary of the Our Lady of Fatima apparitions. Cardinal Carlo Caffarra shared a letter that the visionary sent him during the pontificate of Saint Pope John Paul II.  In the letter, Sr. Lucia wrote:

‘The final battle between the Lord and the kingdom of Satan will be about Marriage and the Family.’

Is it a coincidence that now in 2017 we are in a big battle over marriage and the family?  The push for different forms of families, genders and Communion for the divorced and remarried is a clear indication of this battle, in my opinion.  Cardinal Carlo Caffarra also passed away last month

What do you think?  Comment below in the comment section .

Fake Sacerdotus Google+ Profiles

Dear friends, there are several fake profiles impersonating my pen name on Google plus.  The person behind this is obviously mentally ill and is trying to tarnish the brand/ministry of "Sacerdotus."  I will be taking legal action against this person if he does not remove the accounts.

The accounts are pretending to be Catholic while posting homophobic comments and harassing others.  It is also posting pro-Trump propaganda.  As you may know, I do not support nor endorse political candidates.  I am not for or against Donald Trump just like I am not for or against Clinton, Obama or anyone else running for office.

See these tweets where I have made it clear that I do not endorse politicians:

In fact, I have voiced opposition to many of his views, as well as, his character on Twitter.   See my exchanges with fellow Catholics who have gotten upset with me (some even blocked) for criticizing Trump:

My mission is to evangelize and engage those who are outside of the Catholic religion or who oppose it; namely, Atheists, Protestants, Muslims, Pagans, Radical Feminists, the LGBTQ etc.

Google has been made aware of these fake profiles and are investigating.  They will suspend them immediately.

My real profile was locked by Google for what they consider a "name violation." I wrote a post on this here;  http://www.sacerdotus.com/2016/08/google-censoring-religious-freedom.html.  This is the only profile I used to engage atheists on Google Plus.  I am working to restore it and will notify everyone when it is restored.  Until then, I am not currently using Google Plus for posting or discussing.

These are the impersonating profiles I have been made aware of so far:

Please report them for abuse and impersonation at:

Most of the profiles have been banned by Google except two.  These are banned:

Las Vegas Massacre

The saying "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" is, for now, inapplicable.  Once again, we all woke to the news of another mass shooting.  A deranged man named Stephen Craig Paddock began shooting at a crowd from his hotel room on the 32nd floor at the Mandalay.  The people present were there for a Country music concert.  Performer Jason Aldean was onstage as the shooting began.  On video taken by participants at the concert, one can hear what sounds like numerous firecrackers exploding in the background.

Participants had no idea what was going on until about 30 seconds had passed according to some interviewed by the media.  At first, they believed the sounds were part of the show.  Jason Aldean himself was not sure what was going on and was looking back at the band, possibly to check if it was a sound feedback problem.

In the end, over 50 people were killed and over 500 injured.  The tragedy was called "evil" by President Trump. He ordered flags to be set at half-staff until Friday.  Many took to social media to debate the topic of gun control after the tragedy. Others, criticize the actions of Jason Aldean who ran off stage instead of leading concert goers know via the microphone that there was a shooting taking place.  For a time, a woman named Marilou Danley was a person of interest. Her photo was posted online with requests to locate her.  It is not clear what her connection to the shooting is.  At first, she was located and news reports stated that she was no longer a person of interest.  However, the latest police presser stated that she is a person of interest and is in the Philippines.   Conflicting reports claim that she had warned concert goers that they were going to die. However, it is not clear if this was Danley or another woman.

The brother of Paddock, Erick Paddock is shocked at what his brother did.  He stated that Paddock had no religious affiliation; possibly an atheist, and just had fun gambling and staying at hotels.  He is said to have gambled tens of thousands a day at casinos.  He was retired, but also has an arrest record for being a bank robber.  To date, there is no information on what his motive was.  Earlier reports claimed that ISIS took credit for the shooting.  However, the authorities refuted those claims stating that there is no Islamic terrorism involved.  Paddock was found dead from an apparent self-inflicting gunshot wound.

A Gofundme was set up to help victims of the shooting. To donate, go to: https://www.gofundme.com/dr2ks2-las-vegas-victims-fund

I will update this post as I learn more details.  Let us pray for all involved. This news is just heartbreaking.
