Sun Myung Moon Meets Real God

For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
Matthew 24:24-25

Cult leader Sun Myung Moon passed away at the age of 92.  He was the founder of the "Unification" sect and also financed newspapers such as the Washington times.  Moon believed he was the messiah and wanted to take over the world and replace Christianity with his version of faith.

Millions believed him and joined his sect.  Moon would hold large marriage ceremonies in which he paired couples without couples knowing each other first.  He called himself "God" and claimed to hold the world in his hands.  Followers of his sect were cut off from their families, lived with other sect followers and had to accept Moon and his wife as their real parents.

It is scary to think that even in modern times people can succumb to the charm of certain individuals who make all kinds of claims.  Even former Catholic Lusaka archbishop Emmanuel Malingo fell prey to Moon.

Moon was obviously delusional.  It is not normal for anyone to claim to be God.  Even Jesus had issue with the people when He claimed this.  The difference with Jesus is that He actually showed He was God by working His miracles and speaking with such authority that it moved the people's hearts.  His resurrection was the ultimate proof that was He telling the truth.

We must listen to the words of the first Pope Peter:

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. 2 Peter 2:1-3

Hopefully now the followers of the Unification sect will see that Moon was no God.  Moon cannot heal himself, he cannot resurrect on his own.  God cannot die from pneumonia.

Sun Myung Moon now meets the True God and True Messiah.  May God have mercy on this confused mortal's soul and may he rest in peace.
