Annette Morales Rodriguez, a obviously mentally disturbed individual attacked the pregnant Maritza Ramirez Cruz with a bat, strangled her and cut her fetus right out of the womb! This happened in October of 2011. Supposedly Rodriguez miscarried a few times and wanted a child so she literally tore one out from another woman. She is facing charges of intentional homicide, and homicide of an unborn child.
This crime is horrific and shows how evil human beings can be. The idea of attacking a pregnant woman and cutting out her fetus is something one could possibly see in a horror film. How can anyone do this or even think this scenario in their mind?
The thing that I wonder about is the charge of homicide of an unborn child. It is just that this disturbed individual face this charge and the intentional homicide one; however, the law is a hypocritical here. Some Abortion procedures pretty much do exactly what Rodriguez did. They extract the fetus out either whole or in pieces. This is legal and profitable since it is a "medical procedure" that is not free.
How is it that this is legal and a doctor makes money doing this, but Rodriguez's act is criminal and she faces charges of homicide of an unborn child? Some thing is definitely wrong here.
Both evil acts SHOULD BE CRIMINAL.
