Joe Moreno |
A recent report took the media by storm in which Chicago alderman Joe Moreno claimed that restaurant chain Chick-fil-a agreed to stop funding pro-family organizations. Many were questioning why Chick-fil-a would do this after its record sales when many Americans supported the chain in protest of so-called "gay marriage" and its attempt to oppress 1st amendment rights.
Well it turns out that this story is bogus! Joe Moreno lied and tried flipping the bird, so to speak.
Chick-fil-a President Dan Cathy had this to say:
"Chick-fil-A made no such concessions, and we remain true to who we are and who we have been," Cathy continues, "There continues to be erroneous implications in the media that Chick-fil-A changed our practices and priorities in order to obtain permission for a new restaurant in Chicago. That is incorrect."
It is sad that this Chicago alderman tried to discredit Chick-fil-a. I am glad the restaurant chain never made any concessions.
