SNAP or the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests is being a bit hypocritical. The group came into existence shortly after the explosion of Catholic priest sex abuse cases in the media around 2002.
Since then, they have demanded that each diocese and religious order be transparent regarding priest personnel files; however, when asked the same of them, they refused.
After making an appeal to Missouri's top court in order to keep the files closed on grounds that it would hurt their business, the court decided against them.
These cases are pretty much public. They are on the news, in court transcripts, so what's up with the hush hush?
