This morning an individual opened fired at a Sikh Temple killing several people and injuring others. This is a hard time for America. Just last month, a deranged college student opened fired at an AMC theater. The debate on gun control now rolls on.
This new shooting has struck fear among the Sikh faithful as well as among followers of other faiths. Churches, Temples, Synagogues, Mosques are places of peace. No security is needed for they are places where anyone can enter freely to pray and meditate. It is disturbing that someone would take advantage of this and commit mass murder.
I pray for all those affected by this new tragedy. We need to pray for peace and an end to violence.
