The show has had its critics from the Protestant community who claim that these "pastors/bishop" are misrepresenting the Gospel of Christ. A petition was made on change.org boycotting the show. It gathered over 1,000 signatures.
This show attempts to capture the lives of these "prosperity preachers" who teach that accumulating wealth is what God wants of us. It is an affront to the teachings of Jesus Christ who always preached poverty and detachment from worldly things.
Hopefully this show will expose these "megapastors" for the frauds they are and help Protestant Christians seek the truth of Christ which is fully found in the Catholic Church. Christians are not supposed to be of this world. They are not supposed to accumulate wealth as if it is some saving grace. Our true wealth is God's grace which transforms us into His image.
It is sad that these men along with others distort the Scriptures and use God in order to make money. To quote Jesus:
" For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?" - Matthew 16:26
