Pope Benedict XVI Defrocked 400 Priests

A new report which the AP media outlet released shows that Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI defrocked over 400 priests in just two years.  This shows that he worked quick and hard to remove problematic priests and address the sex abuse scandals despite criticism from groups such as SNAP.

Unfortunately, the media under reports the work of our former Pontiff who as Cardinal was aware of the problem and worked hard to address them as the law and his role in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith allowed him to. Since 2001, the Vatican ordered that credible cases be reported to them directly.

Ratzinger wasted no time in realizing that bishops were not following church law in making use of tribunals. He pushed cases forward and made sure that they were placed on trial. From 2005-2012, the number of canonical trials increased dramatically showing that Benedict XVI was serious about "cleaning the filth" in the Church as he described it.
