Vatican Condemns Gender Theory etc.

The Vatican's recent document on human dignity, titled "Dignitas Infinita," represents a significant contribution to the ongoing discourse on the inherent worth of the human person within Christian anthropology. This declaration, which took several years to develop, underscores the Church's unwavering stance on the intrinsic and inalienable dignity of every human being, created in the image and likeness of God and redeemed in Jesus Christ.

"Dignitas Infinita" is not merely a theological treatise; it is a call to recognize and respect the dignity of every person in various spheres of life, including social, political, and economic realms. The document draws from the rich teachings of the Church and the latest developments in academia to address the ambivalent ways in which the concept of human dignity is understood today.

One of the most notable aspects of this document is its comprehensive approach to human dignity. It goes beyond the traditional bioethical concerns to include pressing contemporary issues such as poverty, the plight of migrants, violence against women, human trafficking, and war. This holistic view aligns with Pope Francis' encyclical "Fratelli Tutti," which offers an original analysis of human dignity beyond all circumstances.

The declaration also seeks to bridge the gap between different perspectives within the Church, emphasizing that the defense of human dignity encompasses both the protection of life from conception to natural death and the advocacy for the marginalized and oppressed. This inclusive approach reflects a maturation in the Church's social doctrine, recognizing that various violations of human dignity are interconnected and must be addressed collectively.

Fundamental to "Dignitas Infinita" is the affirmation of the equal dignity of all people, irrespective of their conditions or qualities. It challenges the misunderstandings that arise from equating personal d
ignity with the capacity for reasoning, thereby excluding the unborn, the elderly, and individuals with mental disabilities from the scope of personal dignity. The document firmly asserts that dignity is a gift present in every human being, regardless of their stage in life or cognitive abilities.

The Vatican's declaration is a testament to the Church's dedication to upholding human dignity in the face of modern challenges. It serves as a moral compass for believers and non-believers alike, guiding actions and policies towards a more just and compassionate society where every person is valued and respected.

For those interested in delving deeper into the theological and magisterial foundations of the Church's understanding of human dignity, as well as the contemporary moral issues it addresses, "Dignitas Infinita" is an essential read. It not only reaffirms the Church's long-standing teachings but also responds to the critiques and questions of our time, offering a path forward for all who seek to honor the infinite worth of every human person.

The Vatican's "Dignitas Infinita" document is a profound exploration of human dignity from a Christian anthropological perspective. Here are some key points highlighted in the document:

1. Inherent Dignity: The document reaffirms the Church's belief in the inherent and inalienable dignity of every human being, created in the image and likeness of God and redeemed by Jesus Christ. This dignity is not subject to change and is independent of any cultural, social, or personal conditions.

2. Holistic Approach: It adopts a holistic approach to human dignity, addressing not only traditional bioethical concerns but also contemporary issues such as poverty, migration, violence against women, human trafficking, and war.

3. Inclusivity: The document emphasizes the equal dignity of all people, irrespective of their conditions or qualities, challenging the notion that dignity is tied to the capacity for reasoning and thus excluding certain groups such as the unborn, the elderly, or individuals with mental disabilities.

4. Interconnected Violations: It recognizes that various violations of human dignity are interconnected and must be addressed collectively, bridging the gap between different perspectives within the Church.

5. Response to Modern Challenges: The declaration serves as a moral compass, guiding actions and policies towards a more just and compassionate society where every person is valued and respected.

6. Biblical and Magisterial Foundations: The document draws from biblical revelation and the Church's teachings to assert that human dignity is confirmed by the incarnation and resurrection of Christ, which reveals man's call to communion with God.

7. Misunderstandings of Dignity: It addresses misunderstandings that arise from equating personal dignity with the capacity for reasoning, thereby advocating for the dignity of every human being regardless of their stage in life or cognitive abilities.

"Dignitas Infinita" is a call to action for all individuals and institutions to recognize and uphold the infinite worth of every human person, reflecting the Church's dedication to human dignity in the face of modern challenges. It is an essential document for anyone interested in the theological, social, and moral implications of human dignity as understood within the Christian tradition.

The Vatican's Perspective on Human Dignity, Gender Theory, and IVF

The Vatican has a long history of engaging with complex moral and ethical issues, and its documents often reflect deep theological reflection and guidance on these topics. Recently, the Vatican has released a new document titled "Dignitas Infinita" which addresses the theme of human dignity in the context of contemporary challenges.

The document, which took five years to develop, builds upon the teachings of the Catholic Church and recent papal magisterium. It emphasizes the "indispensable nature of the dignity of the human person in Christian anthropology" and discusses the implications of this concept in various realms, including social, political, and economic.

One of the key aspects of the document is its stance on gender theory. The Vatican has reaffirmed its position that gender theory, which suggests that gender identity can be separated from biological sex, is a "grave threat" to society. The document states that gender-affirming surgeries and surrogacy are considered grave violations of human dignity, equating them with other practices such as abortion and euthanasia.

The document also touches upon the topic of in vitro fertilization (IVF). The Catholic Church's position on IVF has been consistent over the years, viewing it as morally unacceptable because it separates procreation from the marital act and establishes the "domination of technology" over the creation and destiny of human life.

"Dignitas Infinita" serves as a reminder of the Church's view that human dignity is inherent and flows from the creation of individuals "in the image and likeness of God" and their redemption in Christ. This dignity is present from conception to natural death, and the Church calls for the respect and protection of this dignity in all stages of life.

The document's release has sparked discussions and debates, reflecting the diverse opinions within the Catholic community and beyond. While some view the document as a reinforcement of traditional Catholic teachings, others criticize it for not applying the principle of respect and honor to gender-diverse individuals.

The Vatican's contributions to these discussions are significant as they shape the moral and ethical discourse within the Church and influence the global conversation on these pressing issues. "Dignitas Infinita" is an example of the Vatican's ongoing effort to engage with modern challenges while upholding the principles of the Catholic faith.

Do We All Start Out As Females?

Did you know that we all started out as female embryos? Well, not exactly, but it's a common misconception that has some truth to it. Let me explain.

The sex of humans is determined from fertilization, that is, as soon as it becomes a zygote: if it is XX, it will be a female, while, if it is XY, a male. However, in the beginning, human embryos have the precursors of both female and male gonads, called the Wolffian duct and the müllerian duct, respectively.

These ducts are responsible for developing into the reproductive organs, such as the ovaries or testes, and the internal genitalia, such as the uterus or prostate. But they don't do that right away. They wait for a signal from the genes.

One of these genes is called the SRY gene, which is located on the Y chromosome. This gene activates around the fifth or sixth week of embryonic development and triggers the production of testosterone and anti-müllerian hormone (AMH). These hormones cause the Wolffian duct to grow into the male reproductive system and the müllerian duct to regress and disappear.

If the SRY gene is not activated, either because there is no Y chromosome or because of a mutation, the opposite happens: the Wolffian duct regresses and the müllerian duct develops into the female reproductive system. This means that without the SRY gene, the embryo will follow the female pathway by default. So in a sense, nature prefers females over males.  This makes sense because females are the ones who do most of the reproduction.

But what about the external genitalia, such as the penis or clitoris? These also depend on hormones, but they develop later, around the ninth week of embryonic development. Testosterone causes the genital tubercle to elongate into a penis and the labioscrotal folds to fuse into a scrotum. Without testosterone, the genital tubercle becomes a clitoris and the labioscrotal folds remain separated as labia. So we all start with the potential of being either male or female with nature preferring female by default. This is why some say that we are all females at the onset of life. To be male, the Wolffian system has to be activated, however, to be a female nothing needs to be activated. The embryo will become a complete female as it gestates.

And what about nipples? Why do males have them if they don't need them? Well, nipples form before the SRY gene kicks in, during those fateful five or six weeks when we all look more or less the same. Nipples are part of the basic body plan that we inherit from our mammalian ancestors. Only females end up with breasts attached to them because of another hormone called estrogen.

So, to summarize, we all start out with both male and female potential in our embryos, but our genes and hormones decide which one will prevail. The SRY gene on the Y chromosome is the main switch that determines whether we will develop as males or females. Without it, we would all be females by default.

When We Rise...Yet Fall In Ratings

As many of you know, ABC aired a miniseries special on the LGBT agenda and how it rose to power.  The series was entitled "When We Rise."  It is partially based on gay activist and AIDS quilt creator Cleve Jones' book by the same name.  The intention of the series was clearly propaganda, however, it also served as a history lesson from the view point of the activists featured in the series. ABC anticipated the series to be a success in light of the up-rise in support for homosexuals. The anticipation fell short.  According to reports, "When We Rise" was a failure.  The ratings were abysmal.

Not many people tuned in to watch this pro-LGBT series.  Some are blaming the LGBT community itself for the failure.  I have mixed feelings over the series's failure. On one hand, I am happy many did not get this propaganda pounded into their brains; however, on the other hand, it is unfortunate that not many got to learn the history. Whether or not we agree with the LGBT agenda, we must acknowledge that the events surrounding "When We Rise" are history. They are part of our American History.

Real life Roma Guy, Ken Jones and Cleve Jones

The series also highlights what those in the LGBT community had to deal with. Surprisingly enough, the series honestly portrayed the AIDS epidemic as originating from the LGBT community.  The consequence of promiscuity and selfishness is presented well. Cleve Jones infects his partner Riccardo with HIV.  He never warned him before having sexual contact. Riccardo later commits suicide. Similarly, Ken Jones and his partner are revealed to have HIV after living a life of promiscuity at the bath houses and clubs. The hypocrisy of the radical feminist movement is presented well in the portrayal of Roman Guy.  Moreover, we see the discrimination Ken Jones faced for being black and gay, as well as, the problems of getting with a partner and depending on him/her not knowing what will happen when he/she passes away.  Jones is evicted from the home he shared with his partner after his partner died of HIV. He then turned to a life of addiction and depression because of the gay lifestyle.

I give the series a B+.  Austin Mckenzie and his portrayal of young Cleve was amazing. He even looked like him!  The other actors as well did a phenomenal job playing their characters.  They took us back to the moments presented, literally.  As an academic and Catholic, I cannot ignore the historical value of the series nor the suffering the LGBT endured and still endure. This series highlighted this well (though there were many inaccuracies, historically speaking; and artistic license was used) and should remind us that we have to hate the sin, but love the sinner. This miniseries makes me condemn the homosexual lifestyle even more after seeing the negative impact it has had on so many people. Cleve Jones, Roma Guy, Ken Jones and others are heroes in their own respect. They fought for the respect of others. Whether or not we agree with what they fought for, we must respect their courage and determination.

"When We Rise" may have been a failure, but the events it represented were clearly successful.

Introducing "Caitlyn Jenner" WTF!?

Just when you think the world is disturbing enough, something seems to always top the previous disturbance.  Former athlete Bruce Jenner had informed the world over a month ago of his "transition" from a man to a woman. He vowed to present the finished product, well not the time has come.

Jenner will be featured on the July cover of "Vanity Fair" as "Caitlyn Jenner."  In the magazine and interview is included along with photos of his "transformation."  Immediately, the social network world lit up retweeting his tweets and causing "Caitlyn Jenner" to trend in second place for quite some time. Sadly, an advancement was made in regards to brain cancer and it did not get that much publicity.  This goes to show you how messed up our world is that it prefers to give attention to someone with Gender Dysphoria Disorder rather than scientific advancements related to cancer.

The trend with "Caitlyn Jenner" was flooded with support tweets as well as those criticizing the transformation and the publicity given to it. I myself gave my dollar and change and was met by a few trolls attacking religion and what not.

We are seeing the rotten fruit of relativism as it takes form under the guise of "Gender Theory."  This "theory" posits that gender is simply a social construct.  In other words, societies create labels that are not essential or innate in a person.  So a "male" and "female" can be anything society wants it to be rather than words describing the natural observations regarding differences in genitals and other bodily difference.  Nevermind that genetics clearly distinguish human beings as male and female using the XY and XX chromosomes.  It is sad that even science is not immune from this so-called theory which pushes basic biological knowledge aside in favor of inflating the human ego into thinking it is the sole ruler.

As expected, many celebrities came out in support of Jenner; however, one named Drake Bell came under fire for tweeting that he will still refer to "Caitlyn Jenner" as Bruce and will use the pronouns "he/him/his" to refer to him.  Bell's twitter feed was flooded with personal attacks, calls for his death and other nasty remarks. There goes freedom of speech...  It is scary how this has captured the attention of many people.  They really believe this is okay.  I have nothing against Bruce Jenner, but as a Christian and fellow human I am concerned for him.  Gender Dysphoria Disorder is not something we should cater to.  Moreover, this opens up the door for bathrooms where anyone can enter claiming they are of the opposite gender in their psyches!  A man can claim he is really a woman and enter a woman's bathroom where other women and possibly young girls are doing their business.  It is just scary to think of it.  Then there is the setting aside of an important part of human language, pronouns.  We will be forced to stop using them because it may "offend" someone.  I for one will still refer to transgendered people using the proper pronoun that reflects their real natural biological sex.  As a Christian, I cannot lie.  Calling a woman a man and vice-versa would be a deception.   We must pray for Bruce Jenner and all those suffering from Gender Dysphoria Disorder. The world is confused.  Next they will force this confusion on us...

California Transgender Law

California has lost its social mind. First it legalizes so-called "gay marriage" and even fights the people's vote saying no to it; now it has passed a law allowing 'Transgender children' to pick whatever bathroom, locker room or sports team they want to use. Governor Jerry Brown signed the bill into law which originated from assembly man Tom Ammiano. The bill AB1266 will take effect on Jan. 1, 2014.

Many people are protesting this bill citing it to be dangerous.  Any child can now claim he is a 'boy' or 'girl' when convenient.  This will open the doors to many problems such as; sexual assaults and voyeurism.  How can a young girl go to the bathroom or undress in a locker room with a guy present who thinks he is a girl?  Moreover, boys will pretend to be girls just to get a peek at some naked girls!  The same will occur with girls who will want to go to a boy's bathroom or locker room to see naked boys.  Has the world gone mad?

All these ideas come from "gender theory" which is being pushed on academia and the social sciences.  It is a theory that postulates that gender is merely a social construct and that there is no such thing as a 'male' or 'female.'

Fireworks at Macy's

A worker was fired for not allowing a transvestite to use a ladies' changing room.   The worker described the customer as a 'man in women's clothing and with makeup.'

Macy's ordered the worker to allow this man to use the room and she refused on religious grounds.  After that defiance, she was let go.

This is unfortunate and the reality of what is coming in a world where the LGBT is allowed to run its "theater of the absurd" as the article below quotes.

We live in a time where people are just confused.  No one knows what a male or female is anymore.  This is scary!  It is borderline insanity and delusional.

How on Earth can anyone allow a man dressed as a woman to enter a private area where real women are changing?  What is to stop a pervert from dressing up to peep a show in the dressing room - or worst, sexually assault a woman?

Recently, thieves dressed themselves as women to steal from a handbag store. (http://ghanapolitics.net/World-News/thieves-caught-on-camera-dressing-in-womens-clothes-to-steal-designer-handbags.html)

As a Psychology major, I ask myself:  What ever happened to "Gender Dysphoria?"  (http://dsm5.org/proposedrevision/Pages/GenderDysphoria.aspx)  It is described as a mental disorder in the DSM or the  Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Enough with the LGBT absurdities!  A male is a male and a female is a female!

What is the function of Homosexuality in a Natural world?

In a time where the LGBT movement is aggressively attempting to convince people that they are as normal as everyone else, one question that they seem to avoid is:

What is the function of Homosexuality in a Natural World?

We all have learned in Biology that Reproduction is a natural and needed function for a species to continue; however, that is not possible with Homosexuality, so what is its function in a natural world?

Some Evolutionists say Homosexuality exists to control Population Growth, but if that were the case why did we just pass the 7 billion mark?   (R.H. Dennison - University of Wyoming)

So what are your thoughts?  What is the Natural Biological Function of Homosexuality?  Your comment should answer the following:

  • What is the Biological Function?

  • Is this function identical to Heterosexuality and in what way?

  • Provide data that supports any involvement of Genetics/Evolution in this.
