Boy Scouts Turn Gay

The Boy Scouts of America, an organization which prides itself in helping young boys grow into strong men with strong morals has succumbed to social engineering.  It is now seeking a new "pride," so to speak.

The Boy Scouts will now allow gay boys to join its ranks.  Prior to this decision, there have been many cases of gay boys being rejected when applying.  Others who were already gay and came out publicly were frowned upon by other members.  Religious leaders are now urging members of the Boy Scouts who are religious to abandon the organization.

If the organization's religious members leave, the Boy Scouts will suffer greatly.  Not only will they lose members, but also sponsorship from the many religious institutions that provide funds and support.

It is sad that an organization meant to teach boys integrity and morals would succumb to pressure from social engineering.  Will they allow transsexual boys as well?  God helps us all.

  1. In the Catechism, it states that homosexuality is a mental disorder. If this is so, is it right to discriminate or exclude someone because of a mental disorder? Isn't that similar to not allowing a boy in a wheelchair to not take part in the boy scouts because of a physical handicap, something that is out of his control. Or a boy that is overweight because of an eating disorder?

    1. No, the Catechism does not state that homosexuality is a mental disorder. This is what it states:

      Chastity and homosexuality

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

  2. President Obama is firmly committed to the homosexual agenda and recent promises made to the LBGT and others have caused some in the conservative movement and the evangelical and Pentecostal churches to shudder. It is also clear that the church's concerns have little bearing on the President's position to throw the doors open for the "gay agenda by closing the steel doors around those who make so much as a whimper against the gays. Signing the untested and highly suspect Matthew Shepard act is the latest evidence of that.

    1. Thing things always happen a few decades or so, but generations eventually cleanse themselves of immorality.
