Cardinals Support Pope

The nine cardinals on the panel of Pope Francis' board pledged their support to the pontiff. They did so in light of heavy criticism against the pope from those who call themselves "conservatives." It is not new that the pope has made enemies among those who adhere to pre-Vatican II rituals and those who accept Vatican II, but are conservative in nature. Pope Francis has targeted it them in many ways by criticizing devotional prayers, rigid priests and so on.  Recently, posters were placed around Rome criticizing the pontiff. This was in light of his intervention with the Knights of Malta.
