Cardinal Dolan to Obama - HHS NO WAY!

And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six. - Revelation 13: 16-18

It seems like the Catholic Church is facing "Nero" all over again...

Cardinal Dolan, the President of the USCCB and Archbishop of New York boldly declared that the Catholic Church would not obey any law which pertains to the HHS mandate.

With the passing of "Obamacare," the HHS mandate was included which is an attack on religious freedom and freedom of conscience.  The government is basically forcing religious institutions and those of good conscience to support contraception and abortion or face penalty.

Religious freedom is under attack.  It is the first right guaranteed in the Constitution.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech"

It is no wonder why 50 states are petitioning to secede from the union.  Our government has gone out of control and is becoming a dictatorship.

I love my country, but I love my Church more.  So Your Eminence Cardinal Dolan, you can count me in with the civil disobedience.

  1. Catholics have religious freedom. They are just angry because they can't impose their religious freedom on others. They want to prevent contraception, which was never, ever, ever talked about in the bible. Catholic just invented it, like they invented confession.

They've historically tried to impose their religious freedom allowing their Catholic pedophile priests to rape children in God's name, and then gather in cult manner to protect their pedophile priests. Fortunately, this isn't accepted by humanity as it is by Catholics. And it is despised by true Christians and by God.

God has proven that the Catholic church isn’t God’s church. Those who follow it will be condemned to hell forever.

    1. Neil, there are a lot of problems with your comment.

      1) What is wrong with imposing religious freedom on others? This is the very first right in the Constitution.

      2) While the Church would love to see contraception disappear for good, our intention is not to ban it for everyone. Our intention is to prevent the government from forcing religious institutions and those people of good conscience who value life from promoting artificial means to prevent life and therefore, sinning.

      3) Contraception is against God's will who commanded that humanity be fruitful and multiply. In Genesis 38:8-10 we see a great example of contraception and how God abhors it. Onan had sex and intentionally pulled out and spilled his semen on the ground. God was upset because of this and put him to death. Contraception mocks God. It says no to God's command to populate the Earth. It shows that we trust our judgement over God's. If God wills a child, then we have to trust that God will provide to care for that child. Moreover, it objectifies women. Women become the man's pleasure instrument.

      3) According to statistics, pedophilia was not the problem within some clerics, homosexuality was. The age of the minors were mostly teen age and their gender male.

      4) Only Catholics are the "true Christians" who can be traced back to the first century. Any denomination that is NOT Catholic was founded by European men after Augustinian Catholic friar Martin Luther instigated his "reformation."

      5) On the contrary, the Catholic Church has proven that she originates from God; like Israel, we have outlived many governments and societies who have tried to destroy us. Outside of the Catholic Church there is no salvation, she is the body of Christ.
