'TrumpCare:' Repealing 'Obamacare'

One of President Trump's biggest promise is finally coming to fruition. The replacement for "Obamacare" is now in the works.  Republicans have presented a new bill that would repeal and replace the current healthcare system. It is roughly 60 pages long; a big difference from the over 1,000 version found in Obamacare.  The Republican plan, now being named "TrumpCare," will keep several things from Obamacare.  Among these are the age limit a child can remain on a parent's plan and the ability to purchase insurance.  Missing from this bill are the mandates that forced Americans to buy insurance or face a penalty and for abortion to be covered by tax dollars.

However, Democrats and other liberals are not too happy with the new bill. They claim that the bill is just another tax cut for wealthy Americans.  The bill would save taxpayers $600 billion dollars with the majority of the money going to the rich.

July 4th, 2015 - America is Not Free

The image to the left is not a sign of disrespect to the flag but the proper display of the flag when the nation is in distress.

Today, July 4th we Americans usually celebrate our independence from the archaic and tyrannical monarchy of Great Britain.  Our founding Fathers had enough of being taxed without representation.  The British crown in its greed and abuse sought all they could from the progress of Americans in the thirteen colonies.

They taxed, and taxed and even taxed the tax. Things were hairy nearly 300 years ago in America's infancy.  However, the Americans had enough. They rebelled.  These "peasants" in the eyes of the British crown took on the - at the time- world's most powerful military with its exaggerated pomp and circumstance displayed even during battle. The outcome was in favor of the Americans.  We kicked British butt and told the British King to stick the crown where the sun does not illuminate.  However, things are different now.  We are now under a tyrannical sublime agenda which is making itself more public as it gains ground.   This agenda is removing our freedoms little by little . The first amendment is only protected when the speech and expression favors this agenda. Religious freedom which is the reason why European settlers left Europe to America is now being pushed aside and labeled as hate speech and bigotry.

The recent Supreme Court decision attacking the power of the people and the States they reside in which is protected by the tenth amendment, defying the Constitution is testament to the fact that America is being controlled by an ominous totalitarian faction. Is this the Anti Christ at work?  We cannot be sure, but the signs are there.  This faction is pushing God and religion out of the public square denying Jesus coming in the flesh (see 1 John 2:22).  It is forcing Americans to buy something or face a penalty (see Revelation 13). This faction is forcing a colorful mark on all of us via products we use, services we rely on and even on our tax funded government buildings.  It is removing monuments of the Ten Commandments from court real estate despite our nation's highest court having Moses with the tablets on full display on its edifice's facade.  If that is not enough, it is using every tragedy to limit second amendment rights which exists to preserve the people from a tyrannical government and pushes a common core curriculum that does not teach the history of America and the value of freedom.   It is disturbing to know of the many millennials today who have no clue what July 4th is about due to the education they have received which ignores America's history and instead presents this nation as a problem in the world instead of as a global model of how a nation should be.

I lament to write that America is no longer independent nor free.  The great nation that saw me be born and grow into an adult; the nation that took in the poor and the huddled masses seeking freedom; the nation that gives opportunity to all is unrecognizable to me today in 2015.  We are being hijacked by this ominous totalitarian faction.  It is time for the Catholic Church and all Americans to wake up and take back this country which prides itself as being 'under God' and in whom she trusts in.  God save the United States of America, for we do not know what we are doing.    

Republicans Win Big

As expected, the GOP took the Senate. Many political pundits predicted that Republicans would take the Congress due to a wave of voter discontent at Obama's policies. In fact, many Democratic candidates tried hard to set themselves apart from President Obama in order to avoid being seen as part of his failure as president.

President Obama will not have a rough two years which are left in his presidency with a Republican Congress leaving him pretty much powerless. The American people have spoken and told Obama collectively that they do not approve of his policies and want change. From Obamacare to immigration, the dream act and Ebola, Obama has failed on these issues and made decisions which have angered the American people. Not all Democrats lost. Governor Cuomo retained his governorship in New York state and is pushing his progressive views there. The infamous "abortion barbie" Wendy Davis lost to wheelchair bound Greg Abbot who she mocked in a commercial.  He had over 59% of the vote in Texas.  

Republican Mitch McConnel is expected to be the new Senate majority leader and vowed to unite Congress in order to get work done in Washington, DC.  President Obama has yet to release any congratulatory message. Ballots were also being voted on throughout the union. Many states voted to pass a minimum wage increase and measures to make marijuana legal.  Florida knocked down a measure to legalized medicinal marijuana. Colorado disturbingly voted down a measure that would have amended its constitution to define an unborn child as a person. They legalized marijuana last year, but cannot define an unborn child as a human person.  This is troubling indeed!

Congratulations to the GOP for taking control of the Senate. Hopefully they will repeal Obamacare which has caused so much harm with religious freedom as well as push for more restrictions against abortion and defend marriage as the union between one man and one woman.

Obamacare Hit Hard

"Obamacare" is once again in the news.  Today, two federal appeals courts gave rulings that are confusing everyone.  First, a three judge court in the District of Columbia decided that the IRS cannot extend subsides to those who buy insurance via healthcare.gov.  However, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals decided just hours later that the subsidies were okay.

The White House as usual said they will continue the subsidies, defying the opinion of the course of the District of Columbia. This is the typical Obama administration which decides when and when not to obey judicial orders or laws.

Since its onset, those who understand law and have common sense knew that "Obamacare" was going to be a disaster. The law was just too complicated and did not take into account the many circumstances that will develop. It was rushed through Congress and signed as it was presented as the "best thing since sliced bread." No thought was given to the problems this law would bring.  As a matter of fact, not even Nancy Pelosi read it who famously said that (I paraphrase) "we have to pass the law before we can know what's inside."

Let's see what happens next...

Hobby Lobby & Scotus

God is good!

Today the Supreme Court of the United States of America sided with conscience rights and freedom of religion!  Our prayers, especially the Fortnights for Freedom are producing their fruit!

The long case (Burwell v. Hobby Lobby) with arts and crafts store "Hobby Lobby" is finally over with the aforementioned celebrating a victory.  Five out of the nine justices have decided that the government cannot force employers et al to go against their religious beliefs by funding contraception and other things that go against faith and morals.  You can read on the decision here: http://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/13pdf/13-354_olp1.pdf

Companies can now opt-out of Obamacare’s contraception mandate which has been a thorn on the side of religious organizations and businesses run by religious employers.  Under the HHS Mandate, employers had to provide contraception coverage to employees.  This ruffled the feathers of the Catholic Church, other religious denominations and businesses who felt the government was overstepping its boundaries by forcing Americans to go against their conscience.  Obama tried to remedy the situation by claiming non-profit organizations and religious bodies are exempt; however, this did not go far enough.  Hobby Lobby owned by an Evangelical family sued and was joined by many other businesses.  Mother Angelica's EWTN also has filed suit against the Obama Administration because of this HHS Mandate.  

These companies and others can now breath a little easier now that the Supreme Court struck down the HHS Mandatae.  However, more needs to be done in order to get rid of the mandate once and for all.  Liberals and others immediately took to blogs, comment posts in order to voice their anger and frustration.  Immediately the "war on women" propaganda was taken out with accusations that the decision was made by five males and that the dissenting opinion came from the female justices basically insinuating a "man vs woman" thing.  What are we in elementary school?? 

Liberals can be extremely childish...  

This decision is not a "war on women" but a war on socialism and censorship of conscience rights and religious freedom.  The government has no right to force anyone to go against his/her conscience.  

Moreover, it does not have the right to tell religious bodies what to do.  Religious freedom is the first right guaranteed in America.  Our Founding Fathers were clear on this.  America exists because of Europeans who fled religious persecution and wanted to settle in a place where they can believe freely without oppression.  In reality, America was founded for religious purposes! 

Today, we have liberals and others trying to force religion out of America.  It is trying to control how people believe and how people act.  I'm glad that the Supreme Court decided in the way that it did and it gives me hope that America is still alive.  We will not let our religious freedom and conscience rights be trumped by those who are sexually irresponsible.  Contraception, abortion and the like are not healthcare.  They are means used to cover the irresponsibility of those who abuse the gift of sex and want to avoid the natural consequence: pregnancy.  Pregnancy is not a disease with contraception as the cure!    

Let us continue to pray for America especially as we approach the fourth of July.  May God keep this nation under Him and keep religious freedom a priority on the table of law makers.  May God give wisdom to liberals and feminists who do not understand the beauty of life and sexuality. Contraception objectifies women and men.

Supreme Court Sides with Religion

The Supreme Court has sided with religion for the moment it seems.  On Friday, SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the U.S.) extended an exemption for the Little Sisters of the Poor from the Obamacare mandate that would force religious institutions to go against conscience by paying for contraception and abortions.

The fight is not yet over.  This gives the sisters time to present their case in court and hopefully make it permanent.

Obamacare has been nothing but a disaster for everyone.  Let us see what happens in regards to religious liberties it is oppressing.

2013

The year 2013 is about to pass and we are about to enter 2014.  This year has been one of uncertainty, death, war, violence and also hope.
We heard news of storms, earthquakes and other disasters that took many lives.  We heard of dictators killing their own people and rumors of war circulating the globe. We lost many people, both known and unknown.

Our government shut down and its new healthcare system has flopped.  We also learned what was already known; that the government spies on everyone.  However, 2013 wasn't all gloom and doom.

2013 had the event of the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI which was a bitter sweet moment.  It was bitter because we were going to lose as Pontiff an academic genius and holy man of good will. However, we received another holy man of good will who is taking the world by storm.  The election of Cardinal Bergoglio brought great joy to us all, including many non-Catholics.  Taking the name of St. Francis, Bergoglio would remind the world what great of a religion is Christianity. Many times, Christianity can be fogged up by rules, regulations, doctrines and debates that do not allow it to shine.  Catholicism is now on the rise and the world is opening up once again to Christianity without "supernatural signs from God" or apparitions, but by the living out of the Christian faith by Pope Francis.  Like St. Francis, our current Pontiff is renewing the Church by simply living out the faith.

Moreover, 2013 has also brought interesting events online in regards to Twitter.  Five atheists have inquired about converting to the Catholic faith.  This is great news indeed and a sign that Catholicism is stronger than atheism.  It is much stronger that even anti-Catholic caricature personalities such as "rosa rubicondior" cannot deface it with fictitious posts and instead succumbed to the same abuse he offered to others of faith.  Unfortunately, social networks are censoring religious speech and my accounts as well as those of others have been suspended for merely posting religious opinions.  This is still on the battle field.

In any event, thank God for 2013 and for allowing us another year in 2014.  I hope this year will bring about more fruit and hope you will continue to support my work here by visiting, reading, commenting and providing financial support in order to offset "caesar's" need for coins.

Cardinal Dolan to Obama - HHS NO WAY!

And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. It seems like the Catholic Church is facing "Nero" all over again...

Cardinal Dolan, the President of the USCCB and Archbishop of New York boldly declared that the Catholic Church would not obey any law which pertains to the HHS mandate.

With the passing of "Obamacare," the HHS mandate was included which is an attack on religious freedom and freedom of conscience.  The government is basically forcing religious institutions and those of good conscience to support contraception and abortion or face penalty.

Religious freedom is under attack.  It is the first right guaranteed in the Constitution.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech"

It is no wonder why 50 states are petitioning to secede from the union.  Our government has gone out of control and is becoming a dictatorship.

I love my country, but I love my Church more.  So Your Eminence Cardinal Dolan, you can count me in with the civil disobedience.

Presidential Debate 2012

Tonight's debate was fun to watch.  It started off fine and got more interesting as it went on.  Both candidates were calm and poised at first until the questions began to flow.  Obama was visibly nervous and on the defense after Romney shot at him facts and refuted his points.  As the debate moved on, Obama looked uncomfortable and annoyed.  His arguments were incoherent and at a few instances needed help from the moderator.  There was one point where he even said "I think we should move on to the next question."

Meanwhile, Romney tied every point back to creating jobs and linked it to real people while challenging Obama on his record these past 4 years.  Romney was clearly prepared while Obama was aloof and lost.

Moderator Jim Lehrer was horrible.  He had a difficult time controlling the time and flow of the debate allowing both Romney and Obama to talk past the 2 min limit.

On the topic of government role, Romney stated that rights come from God who is the creator and that we are all the children of the same God.  He also stressed religious freedom indirectly attacking Obama's attack on religious freedom with his policies.   

We are endowed by our creator with our rights, I believe we must maintain our commitment to religious tolerance and freedom in this country. That statement also says that we are endowed by our creator with the right to pursue happiness as we choose. I interpret that as, one, making sure that those people who are less fortunate and can't care for themselves are cared by -- by one another. We're a nation that believes that we're all children of the same god and we care for those that have difficulties, those that are elderly and have problems and challenges, those that are disabled. We care for them. - Romney 

Romney was on target in this debate leaving Obama looking for words with his constant use of non-lexical vocable use of "um" "uh."  The debate looked horrible for Obama who is known for being a good speaker. His train of thought derailed.

Even Obama supporters such as Bill Maher were disappointed in him, Maher posted on twitter:

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow on her program foolishly called the debate a tie.  She must have been watching some other thing, not what the rest of the nation and world were watching.

If Romney continues to perform like this, then he will be the next POTUS.

Catholic Health Association Rejects Compromise

The Catholic Health Association has recently dealt a big blow to "Obamacare" and its HHS mandate.  This mandate requires that employees' health insurance include free birth control coverage.  The Catholic Church has been the most outspoken on this issue due to religious freedom.

The HHS mandate would force Churches to promote contraception.  As you may know, the Catholic Church opposes any form of contraception.


Contraception is immoral and destroys families.  Those who call themselves "liberal Catholics" disagree and feel that the Church has an obligation to provide it to all employees.  This along with Abortion will solve the world problems, according to them.

Religious freedom is important and is a human right.  Mr. Obama is forcing Churches to promote birth control devices and medication that contradict its teachings.

Unfortunately, the CHA and some Catholic institutions have been hijacked by these so-called "liberal Catholics" who disregard Church teachings.  This is why the CHA's rejection of the compromise comes to all faithful Catholics as a surprise.  The members of CHA, including Sister Keehan, have come under fire for being more loyal to Obama than to the Pope.

I applaud the CHA for supporting the Catholic Bishops by rejecting the compromise.  We as Catholics must be loyal to God first and the Church.  We cannot give in to the world's philosophies and lies.

I do remember Jesus saying something about whoever denies Him before men, He will deny before His Father.  So let us be faithful.

SCOTUS vs Obamacare

For 3 days the SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the US) will be hearing for 6 hrs arguments for and against the infamous universal health care law labeled "Obamacare."  This law was introduced to Congress in a dramatic fashion.  It was filled with promises of giving health care coverage to all Americans, lowering the age for children to remain in their parent's health coverage, low costs, etc.  However, the devil was in the details.

The bill itself is compose of thousands of pages!  It was funny and scary to see Nancy Pelosi say that "we have to pass the bill first to see what's in it."

Democrats and some Republicans blindly followed the promises of this bill and pushed it along.

College kids brainwashed by progressive and liberal professors quickly were calling Obama a hero.  

However, these people show how ignorant they really are.  They fail to see how this bill is unconstitutional and expensive.   It forces Americans to buy a product/service.  The Constitution prohibits the federal government from forcing Americans to purchase a product/service.

Moreover, there is no money to make this bill a reality.   Even if the USA was out of debt and had a surplus, there still would not be enough money to run this Obamacare as well as run other programs.
The whole thing is just a disaster.  

Here is some good advice to Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, Progressives, Professors and Students:  

READ A CONTRACT FIRST AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE SIGNING IT!
