Dj Flame - The Anointed Mic Check Host & Hip-Hop Female Pioneer

DJ La Spank, whose real name is Gail Hall, is a figure of monumental importance in the history of hip-hop. As one of the original DJs for the Mercedes Ladies, the first all-female rap group, she helped pave the way for women in a genre that was, and often still is, dominated by men. She now hosts the Anointed Mic Check on WHCR, a show about Christian music, particularly, Hip-Hop, R&B and the "carribean flavor."  She offers news, interviews and the latest music and oldies in the Christian music genre.  DJ Flame has hosted this program since the early 2000's in the early morning hours.
