Another Movie Shooter & Reunion Island Debris Confirmed

Debris found ashore Reunion Island has been confirmed by experts as belonging to Flight MH370 which disappeared over a year ago around the Indian Ocean.  So far it seems that search parties were looking in the wrong area and the rest of the aircraft along with the remains of its 239 passengers are in the ocean deep below. This news is heartbreaking to family members who were hoping that perhaps the plane was hijacked and flown elsewhere or that it may have landed somewhere else.

Another shooting just took place in Antioch, Tennesse.  Just weeks from another shooting in Louisianna where two young ladies were killed. A person not yet identified shot at an officer who returned fire.  The swat team came and engaged the shooter as well who had two bagpacks, a gun and hatchet.  No one was killed, but some were being treated for pepper spray inhalation and what appears to be injuries consistent with that of a hatchet attack.

UPDATE 10 PM EST

The would-be shooter was identified as Vincente David Montano, 29.  He originate from Nashville and was in possession of two backpacks, a surgical mask, pepper spray, an ax and an airsoft gun.  He sprayed moviegoers with pepper spray. Montano was shot dead by the SWAT team. It was learned that he had been in a Mental hospital more than once.  His mother had reported him missing on August 3, 2015, after not seeing him since 2013. In 2004, he assaulted a police officer and was arrested.

So many Plane Crashes...

First Malaysian flight MH17 was shot down, then a flight from Taiwan crashed due to weather and now an Algerian plane disappeared off the radar.  This plane also crashed and is believed to be due to weather.  Let us pray for all those who were on these flights and their loved ones.  There have been 3 crashes in just one week.  It is just disturbing and sad to hear.

Flying on planes is supposedly the safest way to travel (http://mic.com/articles/53293/7-reasons-flying-is-still-the-safest-way-to-travel).  Needless to say, I will not be getting on any planes anytime soon!

Flight MH17

It seems Malaysian Airlines cannot catch a break.  Another of its planes went missing but this time the situation is different.  Malaysian flight MH17 on a Boeing 777-200 was shot down by missilles on route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.  THe flight left at 12:15pm and never made its 13 hour flight. THe pilots and passengers possibily died instantly and did not have any warning of the impending doom from the projectile heading towards them.

All 285 people, many of them children, were killed. The whole situation is heartbreaking and disturbing. Leaders and media pundits are pointing fingers at Russia and Ukrain rebels as being responsible for the shooting down of this flight. The black boxes are trying to be collected in order to figure out what really happened.  Voices were overheard on radio frequencies alluding to possible knowledge of the attack by Ukraine rebels.  Only time will tell who was really responble.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

It has been over a week since air traffic controllers lost contact with flight 370 of Malaysia Airlines.  At first it was believed that the plane may have had technical problems; however, it is now believed that the disappearance may be deliberate.

The plane made a sharp turn back towards Malaysia, but did not land in any airports.  Moreover, the transponder and other technology that makes it visible to computers on short and in space were shut off indicating that someone did not want the plane to be tracked.  After September 11, many new security features were added, but it seems terrorists have found a way around it.  The pilots are under suspicion now.  The main pilot has a flight simulator at home which may have been used to "practice" a flight pattern.  Officials are still speculating.

No debris of any kind has been located and there is no intelligence indicating any plans (that we know of).  Let us pray for the people on this flight and their families.

Flight to China Missing

A flight to China from Malaysia has gone missing.  It is feared that the planed may have had technical issues and turned back.  It has been over 17 hours since air traffic controllers heard from the pilots on the airplane.  Let us pray for those on board.
