As if the recent report in Philadelphia is not enough, now we have a bombshell at the top of the Catholic Church. Former Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano is making claims in a 11-page written testament that Pope Francis withdrew sanctions against former Cardinal, Archbishop Theodore McCarrick. McCarrick has been recently exposed as a homosexual predator who prayed on young teens and seminarians during his time in New York, New Jersey and Washington D.C. see: http://www.sacerdotus.com/2018/06/cardinal-mccarrick-accused-of-sexual.html.
Archbishop Vigano says that Pope Benedict XVI had imposed sanctions on then Cardinal McCarrick which were later removed by Pope Francis in 2013 upon taking the see of Peter. Vigano claims that Pope Francis protected and covered for McCarrick and made him his "trusted counselor." He continues claiming that McCarrick told Pope Francis to appoint several bishops in the United States, particularly Cardinals Blase Cupich and Joseph Tobin.
Vigano says that corruption has reached the top of the heirarchy and urges un the dictates of the conscience for Pope Francis and all those who covered up for McCarrick to immediately resign from office.
This news is troubling to say the least. If true, Pope Francis et al., must indeed, resign now! However, in the spirit of true journalism, there is always two sides. Let us not forget that Archbishop Vigano was replaced by Pope Francis in 2016 see: http://www.sacerdotus.com/2016/04/apostolic-nuncio-replaced-media-slant.html. The media claimed that he was replaced for inviting Kim Davis to meet the Pope during his 2015 visit to the United States of America. Could Vigano be retaliating against the pope like a disgruntle former employee? Or was Vigano really removed because of Kim Davis who is known for refusing gay couples marriage licenses? If so, then this would mead that Pope Francis did listen to McCarrick who is an alleged homosexual and is against anyone who speaks out against the LGBTQ agenda.

Apostolic Nuncio Replaced & Media Slant
The media is at it again. The Vatican announced yesterday that Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano reached the age of retirement and will be replaced by Archbishop Christophe Pierre as Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America.
He was formerly the Apostolic Nuncio to Mexico. Well, the media is now stating that Vagano was replaced because he invited Kim Davis to an audience during the Papal Visit in September of 2015.
They are going so far as to saying that since Vagano spoke strongly against same-sex marriage in the past and invited Kim Davis who was jailed for refusing to give out marriage licenses to same-sex couple, that the Pope wanted him out.
Can you believe this?
The Vatican made it clear that Vagano reached retirement age.

Gay Priest in the Vatican
This week the Vatican has been the topic of discussion in the media and social media. First rumors of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis meeting Pope Francis in Washington D.C. was confirmed. However, Vatican officials downplayed this meeting as a mere "wait-in-line" occasion. They emphasized that the "real audience" was with a former student of the Pope and his family. This "family" turned out to be his male lover and some other relatives. Critics in the Church have shouted "red flag" on this meeting stating that the Vatican is giving preference to the LGBT and distancing itself from Christians who have suffered under the LGBT tyranny.
Now, a new story broke out. Monsignor Krysztof Olaf Charamsa who worked at the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith announced that he is gay and has a male lover. He is calling on Pope Francis to change the Church's teachings on homosexuality which classifies homosexual acts as sinful. He claims that the Church is homophobic and causes many homosexuals to suffer by telling them to live in chastity instead of allowing them to get into a relationship with another of the same sex. This priest was immediately fired. He was expecting this and clearly wanted to bring attention to the LGBT agenda. His timing was impeccable. All of this drama was done just hours before the Bishop's Synod was about to begin. Many in the Catholic Church are concerned with this synod due to the fact that the one last year brought about many strange statements which contradicted Church teachings. There is concern that the bishops may push for changes such as the acceptance of divorce and same-sex unions. Cardinal Kaspar and the bishops of Germany seem to be the ones leading for the Catholic Church to follow suit with the Anglican community which is currently imploding due to their "progressive" changes. Charamsa has been on the congregation since 2003 and also teaches in several pontifical universities.
This whole situation is very troubling indeed and shows evidence that there is in fact a gay lobby infiltrated in the Vatican. Pope Francis during an interview on the plane heading to Brazil indicated that he was not aware of any gay lobbyists. Hopefully this news will wake him up. Moreover, Pope Francis' fascination with the LGBT is troubling; not for the fact that he is reaching out in mercy but because he does not seem to be reaffirming the Church's teaching on homosexuality to the people he meets who are from the LGBT community. Moreover, the tone of the Vatican press office regarding the meeting with Kim Davis and the scandal with Charamsa is also troubling. They seem to be downplaying the seriousness of the sodomite lifestyle. When addressing the situation with Charamsa, they said that he was fired not because he came out, but because of the timing. Seriously? The timing is more serious than the announcement that he is gay and actively gay with a lover? The Vatican seems to be giving mixed messages. At one point, they refused to acknowledge France's ambassador who is gay, now they welcoming members of the LGBT like nothing and even emphasized that they did not support Kim Davis.
We must pray for our leaders, especially Pope Francis who is clearly surrounded by the lavender mafia pushing for change. For decades, many have warned of an infiltration of LGBT activists in the Church. The book "Good bye Good Men" is one such prophetic book. For more info on this topic, see my previous posts:

Holy Confusion Batman! - Pope Francis & Kim Davis
Never in my lifetime both as an atheist and Catholic have I seen a Vatican that was so ambiguous in its communication than now. In the past, the Vatican was careful with how it conducted "business" with the outside world including how the Pope interacted with others.
One would never see St. Pope John Paul II, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI or any of their predecessors photographed or even having a meeting with someone who is publicly and aggressively at odds with the Church. Today, pro-abortion nuns, transgender people and others are meeting with the Pope at the Vatican and elsewhere. Recently, reports that Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis met with the Pope were circulating on social media. The lawyers for Davis claimed that the Pope requested to meet her. Immediately, many voiced their skepticism of this meeting. Others became upset with the Pope for meeting a "homophobe." However, Davis released photos of papal rosaries given to her and Vatican spokesman Fr. Lombardi acknowledged that there was a meeting but would not go into detail. Within a few days, Lombardi had a news conference and clarified that the meeting between the Pope and Kim Davis was not in support of her position; namely, her stance on religious freedom and conscientious objection.
Lombardi downplayed the meeting as just a brief greeting, nothing more. He stated that the real audience was with a former student of the Pope and his family. What Lombardi left out was that this "family" is a gay union. This student of the Pope has a male lover. They even posted a video of the meeting with the Pope hugging both gay men.
There are a lot of things to look at here that I do not even know where to begin. The confusion with this whole matter is just absurd.
Fr. Rosica stated that one has to ask the Washington Nuncio as to why Kim Davis was invited to greet the Pope in a dismissive tone. No one seems to know anything concretely. Moreover, Lombardi stated that the real audience with the Pope was the one with the student who is gay and has a male partner. He said it as if it was not scandalous. It strikes me odd because before the Pope came to the United States, Obama had selected members of the LGBT community and a pro-abortion nun to meet Pope Francis. The Vatican had issue with this, but apparently this meeting with a gay couple was no big deal.
What is going on? Is the Vatican now supporting same-sex unions? Is the Vatican against religious freedom and conscientious objection?
I understand that the Pope wants us to be merciful and reach out, but what is he doing to call these people to repentance? In the Sacrament of Penance, we receive mercy but also are called to avoid the repeating the sins we have committed and were absolved from. The Pope has shown mercy to these LGBT people, so where is the call to them to repent and live chaste lives? The actions of the Vatican and even the Pope are putting us Catholics against each other. One side is saying that the Church is changing and the other side is saying that it is becoming apostate. Again, what is going on? How can I as a future priest, apologist and evangelist or other Catholics teach the faith that calls us to have mercy and also admonish the sinner when we have our leaders seemingly turning a blind eye to those who are publicly and proudly sinning?
The Anglican/Episcopal denominations already tried the mercy without repentance tactic and both are dissolving as I write this. England's archbishop of Canterbury is in talks to dissolve the denomination into a confederation of groups in order to stay alive. Is this what is in store for the Catholic Church?
This whole thing is troubling indeed. I have people telling me that I am wrong for telling LGBT people to live chastely because Pope Francis has not judged them and that I should not "judge them" as well. The Catholics who are preaching the Gospel and teaching the catechism are now being accused of being heretical and "bad Catholics." What is going on? I feel like a messenger who gave a message and then the one who sent me to give the message changed it making me look bad or like I have just given a bad message.
Moreover, many honest people wanted to meet the Pope during his visit. My own nephew sent him two letters, one to the Vatican and another to the nunciature in Manhattan, New York. He has not heard one peep out of the Vatican or the Pope. Not even a birthday greeting since the Pope came during his birthday. Yet, the Vatican and Pope makes the time to call and meet with people who are openly defying God's law and making a mockery out of him.
Something has to give at the Vatican and with the Papacy. Pope Francis needs to explain what this mercy thing he preaches really means. All this time I thought it was meeting the sinner where he or she is at, forgiving him or her and telling him or her to sin no more. I thought it was was a call to follow what Ephesians 4:24 says and what the late Cardinal Egan used as his motto, "and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth." Rest assured the Vatican and Pope Francis will be getting a strongly worded letter from myself. I advise other Catholics to do the same. This misguided compassion and mercy that leads to endorsement of sin must end now.
UPDATE OCTOBER 3 2015:
According to new reports, the gay former student of Pope Francis is an atheist named Yayo Grassi. Grassi claims that the Pope called him three weeks before the trip to the USA and that he knew of his gay relationship but never said anything negative, not even one comment. Grassi stated that he wanted the world to see who the Pope really is.

"The brief meeting between Mrs. Kim Davis and Pope Francis at the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, DC has continued to provoke comments and discussion. In order to contribute to an objective understanding of what transpired I am able to clarify the following points:
Pope Francis met with several dozen persons who had been invited by the nunciature to greet him as he prepared to leave Washington for New York City. Such brief greetings occur on all papal visits and are due to the pope’s characteristic kindness and availability. The only real audience granted by the pope at the nunciature was with one of his former students and his family. The pope did not enter into the details of the situation of Mrs. Davis and his meeting with her should not be considered a form of support of her position in all of its particular and complex aspects." There are a lot of things to look at here that I do not even know where to begin. The confusion with this whole matter is just absurd.
- First it is said that the Pope requested the meeting with Davis and told her "be strong."
- Next, it is said that no such meeting happened. If he did meet with her and told her "be strong," to what was he referring to? What is she to be strong against?
- Then it is said that it did happen but that the Pope does not support Davis. However, the Pope took time to meet the Little Sisters of the Poor which was interpreted as a form of support after they have been back and forth in US courts over "obamacare.
- So what exactly does the Pope support? Again, why did he allegedly tell Davis to "be strong?" If a meeting is not support, then what is?
Fr. Rosica stated that one has to ask the Washington Nuncio as to why Kim Davis was invited to greet the Pope in a dismissive tone. No one seems to know anything concretely. Kim Davis Jailed
"Peter and the other apostles replied: 'We must obey God rather than human beings!'" Acts 5:29
Social media as been lighted up with the hashtag #KimDavis. Kim Davis is the Kentucky clerk who has been refusing to grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples and even heterosexual couples. As you may know, back in June the Supreme Court of the United States went against the constitution and states by legalizing so-called same-sex marriage see: http://www.sacerdotus.com/2015/06/supreme-court-legalizes-same-sex.html.
As a result, it was predicted that religious freedom and conscience rights would be affected and it has. Kim Davis, a Protestant feels obliged to follow her conscience in regards to granted marriage licenses to same-sex couples citing her religious beliefs. She says she is denying the licenses based on God's authority and was arrested by US marshals for this. Seriously? The government is picking on a woman because she is following her conscience? It is a scary time but we are used to this. For over 2000 years Christians have been arrested and killed for putting Christ over man's stupid laws. We will not stop in 2015 and will continue to preach Christ in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2).
Davis has been attacked for having I believe three marriages, all which happened before she was Christian. Nevertheless, her sins are irrelevant because she is bringing attention to religious freedom as it relates to conscience rights. I understand that she is breaking the law and was ignored by the courts and arrested. However, we have a moral obligation to disobey immoral laws. Dr. King broke many laws in the name of civil rights. The people attacked him then just like people today are attacking Davis and are now in the "wrong side of history."
As Catholics, civil disobedience is a must when immoral laws exist and are pushed on us. God will not judge us based on how good we follow man's laws, but His laws. Denying marriage licenses to same-sex partners may be seen as discrimination by others, but not by us because we do not recognize any other form of marriage that is different from one man one woman. The greatest thinkers in human history understood that immoral laws deserve no observance from the rational person.
“One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
“Protest beyond the law is not a departure from democracy; it is absolutely essential to it.”
― Howard Zinn
“It is not always the same thing to be a good man and a good citizen.”
― Aristotle, Selected Writings From The Nicomachean Ethics And Politics
“An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI as Cardinal Ratzinger stated that Catholics must oppose laws that promote same-sex unions and the light. It is a moral obligation to oppose them:
"The Church teaches that respect for homosexual persons cannot lead in any way to approval of homosexual behaviour or to legal recognition of homosexual unions. The common good requires that laws recognize, promote and protect marriage as the basis of the family, the primary unit of society. Legal recognition of homosexual unions or placing them on the same level as marriage would mean not only the approval of deviant behaviour, with the consequence of making it a model in present-day society, but would also obscure basic values which belong to the common inheritance of humanity. The Church cannot fail to defend these values, for the good of men and women and for the good of society itself."
(see: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20030731_homosexual-unions_en.html)
However, it must be noted that homosexuals must not be abused, hated upon or attacked in any way or form. This is not Christianity. We oppose immoral ideas, not people.
