Blue Lion Galaxy: Big Bang Clues?

Galaxy AGC 198691, a bluish dwarf galaxy about 30 million light years from Leo Minor has remained pretty much the same since the formation of the universe. Astronomers and cosmologists believe it may hold clues regarding the the formation and origins of the universe. Heavy elements were discovered in this galaxy. These elements stem from the very early universe.  A heavy element has an atomic number that is greater than 92. These elements are produced in stars. After the 'Big Bang,' hydrogen, helium, beryllium and lithium were the elements present which brought about all that exists today.

This discovery was published in The Astrophysical Journal and is titled ALFALFA DISCOVERY OF THE MOST METAL-POOR GAS-RICH GALAXY KNOWN: AGC 198691.  The discovery of these heavy elements can bring about a quantitative test for the 'Big Bang.'  As it stands, it is nearly impossible to study empirically the birth of the universe. Any data deriving from AGC 198691 can shed some light into the infancy of the universe and what was possibly before it, if anything.
