Pope "Swear"

The world media has been going crazy with a news report from Italy claiming that the Pope dropped the "f-bomb" or used the infamous four-letter "f" work.  According to the news reports, as the Pope read his angelus message, he said "caz*o" which in Italy is used to refer to the male reproductive organ or an equivalent to "F*ck."

The Holy Father of course did not curse/swear, but merely mispronounced a word.  The word he mispronounced was "caso" which means case.  One can see in the video that the Pope had no idea he said it and had no reaction.  He probably doesn't even know the meaning of the word.  This news report is just the media showing that it has nothing else to do but capitalize on the mispronunciation of a word which happens to all of us. Sometimes the mouth muscles get tired or the mouth dry and we mispronounce words due to the lack of control to properly pronounce every vowel, consonant and syllable.

Accent also plays a big role as in the case with Pope Paul VI.  When he visited America, he told the crowd "peace on Earth."  However, with his heavy Italian accent, it sounded like he was saying "piss on earth." :-)
