Cordileone Installed as Archbishop

Bishop Salvatore Cordileone was installed as Archbishop of San Francisco on October 4th which is also the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi.

Like Francis, Archbishop Cordileone will be taking on the hard task of renewing the Church there which has fallen prey to the LGBT agenda.

As expected, the LGBT people and their supporters protested the installation calling the Archbishop a 'bigot' and even a 'drunk' - an allusion to his drinking and driving incident during the summer.  The Archbishop joked about this during his homily and was in good spirits.

Unfortunately, a "bishop" from the Episcopal sect, Mr. Marc Andrus claimed that he was detained in the basement of the cathedral.  He eventually left out of protest because he felt that he was not welcomed.   Apparently, Mr. Andrus - a supporter of so-called "gay rights" was attempting to turn the installation into a polemical situation with his actions.

Shame on this fool for attempting to bring scandal to this solemn event.  He was invited to it in an expression of friendship and ecumenism.

Geoge Wesolek of the Archdiocese stated that the Church did no snub Andrus:  "We had no intention of excluding him at all, If he felt like because of the wait that was insulting to him, we certainly will apologize."

Cordileone Arrested

Archbishop-Elect  Salvatore Cordileone was arrested for DUI.  He was jailed for 2 hours and then released on $2,500 bail.  Cordileone was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint and was found to have alcohol levels above what California law permits.  He was ordered to appear in court October 9.  After his arrest, he asked for forgiveness and offered his apology for bringing disgrace upon the Church.

The news is disturbing indeed.  Cordileone was chosen by Pope Benedict XVI to clean up the Archdiocese of San Francisco.  With this arrest, many will come out and attack his moral authority, especially those in the LGBT who despise him greatly for opposing so-called "gay marriage."

We all make mistakes, but Cordileone should have known better.  Prudence is a Cardinal Virtue that brings our minds and hearts to focus on God and right reason.  It brings us to do the right thing.  Unfortunately, Cordileone was not using this virtue.

I pray all goes well and that the people will forgive his mistake.  I pray that he will be more careful next time and use temperance when having a drink.

Artists use colors to make beautiful works of art.  Well hopefully soon the same will happen with the Rainbow which has been engulfing the Archdiocese of San Francisco and has blinded even the clergy there.

For many years the LGBT has had too much influence in the local ordinary there.   Archbishop George Niederauer, former Archbishop of the Archdiocese was too friendly to the gay agenda.  He was even filmed giving Holy Communion to men dressed as nuns!

Well all that is ending hopefully.  Archbishop-elect Salvatore Cordileone (not to be confused with Don Vito Corleone) was appointed to take over and is taking the rainbow and painting a nice beautiful Catholic archdiocese out of the colors.

He was a strong proponent of Prop 8 which made so-called "gay marriage" illegal.  He is a no nonsense bishop who will clean house, so to speak.

For far too long, dissident groups such as the "Rainbow Sash Movement" have used the word "Catholic" and the Church's property to conduct pro-homosexual business.

They created phony charities that pretend to assist the LGBT community but in reality is a front for change within the Catholic Church to force the Church to accept the gay lifestyle.  The Archdiocese had "gay pride" Masses and even blessed Pride participants!  

If that is not crazy enough, they allowed an "order" of drag queens to walk about dressed as religious sisters!   The so-called "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" were free to roam as if they were a legitimate religious order.




Look at the photos below, it is just hard to believe that these people were allowed to mock the Church on Church property:

Let us pray for the Archdiocese of San Francisco and for Archbishop-elect Salvatore Cordileone who will take possession of the Archdiocese on October 4, the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi and patron of the Archdiocese.  St. Francis was also the saint of the Church who Pope Innocent III dreamt about as being the small man holding the Church from crumbling.
