Cyril DeGrasse Tyson, the father of the "personal astrophysicist" Neil DeGrasse Tyson has passed away. The astrophysicist tweeted this:

Cyril DeGrasse Tyson was born on October 19, 1927 and was an activist and educator. In 1952, he married Puerto Rican Sunchita Feliciano, the mother of Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
I want to extend my condolences to Dr Tyson and his family. May Cyril Degrasse Tyson rest in peace. Eternal rest shine upon him o lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.
