Hello Michael, I saw this incredibly inspiring writing by Mar Mallett and thought you might find it interesting reading. I have had a 'gut' sense that Pope Francis encyclical was a bit of an over stretch...but couldn't verbalize what my deep sense was saying, until I read this article. As a scientist, I think you might find this to be a very fruitful presentation of an overview regarding the Catholic Church and its relations with 'science'...and keeping that relationship in a healthy perspective...as Cardinal Pell eloquently says it: http://www.markmallett.com/blog/climate-change-and-the-great-delusion/ Let me know your thoughts?
