Women Champions of FIFA Soccer

The U.S. Women's National Team got its revenge by defeating Japan 5-2 to become the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Champions as well as the first three-time cup winner.  The stars of the game were Hope Solo and Carli Lloyd who kept scoring as if it were a piece of cake, so to speak.

The game was the most-watched in the history of the sport in America and has made all Americans proud.  It is good to see women excel in sports especially since even in 2015 women are still the target of others who feel women cannot do as good as "the man."

Mayor of New York City Bill Di Blasio is having a "Ticker Tape" parade in the Canyon of Heroes today to celebrate this awesome team of dedicated and talented ladies who have made the USA the talk of soccer throughout the globe.  Some are criticizing the parade due to its $2 million cost; however, city officials claim that the city will make back that money via revenue from revelers at the parade. Business owners around lower Manhattan agree, many of them who saw high sales during the celebratory parades of the New York Yankees and New York Giants.
