Brad Halsey Rest In Peace

It's so sad to learn that former Yankee Brad Halsey passed away after falling from a cliff.  He was doing some rock climbing. He was only 33 and had a very boyish look to him.  Hall of Famer Joe Torre said he looked like his paper boy due to his handsome youthful appearance.

Halsey got his start as a pitcher for the Yankees on July 1, 2004 which was the day when the Yankees played one of their greatest games ever.  Their opponents were the Boston Red Sox. The game went into extra innings which Jeter famously flying into the crowd emerging from it with his face completely bruised and bloody.  Halsey pitched a great game that day.  Unfortunately, his career with the Yankees was short.  He was traded the following year to the Arizona Diamondbacks for the veteran Randy Johnson.

I remember that great game Halsey began his career with.  My condolences to his loved ones.  May he rest in peace.
