WatchTower Sex Abuse Case

In a surprise twist, the media for a change has noticed that other faith-based institutions have sexual misconduct problems as well.

It is no surprise that the media is fixated on Catholicism.  The Catholic Church is the largest, oldest and most powerful of all religions.  It is also the most outspoken.  Any opportunity to propagate doubt against the Church will be taken advantage of by the media.

However, any educated person knows that sexual misconduct is not exclusive to Catholic clergy or employees.  The Watchtower sect, commonly known as the "Jehovah's Witnesses" have to pay 28 million to a victim who was once a member of their community.  Candace Conti, 26 alleges that an adult member - Jonathan Kendrick - of the sect abused her and the sect kept it quiet and did nothing to stop it.

The Watchtower is a cult that has been on the radar of governments and other mainstream religious bodies for their tactics.  Unlike the Catholic Church which does not control anyone, the Watchtower is very strict on keeping their followers obedient to the sect.

Hopefully more victims of the Watchtower sect will come out with their stories so justice can be done.

If you are a victim of abuse, please inform the police.
