Heil Bloomberg!

Once again Mayor Michael Bloomberg is showing his delusions of grandeur.  He is a billionaire, has managed to convinced the City Council to extend his term, and is a progressive who pushes ideas without considering the consequences.

Well he is pushing an idea which is rubbing New Yorkers the wrong way.  He wants to ban "super size" soda servings.  While New Yorkers are suffering high unemployment rates, dropouts in schools, rise in crime, high rent, high costs of food and necessities, this man is worried about drinks.

His rationale is that this will help ease the obesity epidemic.  In reality, this will not.  People will still drink more soda regardless of the portion.

Moreover, soda pop is not the only contributor to weight gain.  Genetics play a role, not to mention the over consumption of calories found in other foods.

Bloomberg is an example of when government attempts to control too much.  Bloomberg is the poster child of what the American colonists wanted to avoid when they protested the Stamp act.
