Yankee Baseball is back!

Let's go Yankees ::clap clap clap-clap-clap:: !!   Baseball is back in the Bronx.  Today the Yankees had their Home Opener for the 2012 season.  This will be an interesting season indeed.

The Yankees got rid of one of their top prospects Jesus Montero and did not have room for Yankee veteran and All-Star Catcher Jorge Posada which forced him into retirement.

Jorge Posada was present in today's game and threw the first pitch.  The crowd went bananas as usual when a Yankee legend is present.  He will be missed.

The night before a dinner was held and Posada received an award for his accomplishments as a Yankee.  Cardinal Dolan was also present and received a Red Yankee hat.

The game went off without a hitch.  The Yankees shut out the Angels 5-0 thanks to starting pitching from Hiroki Kuroda and homeruns from Alex Rodriguez, Curtis Granderson, and a bases clearing hit from Nick Swisher who was recently struggling at the plate.

Mission 28 is now underway!  Let's Go Yankees!
