Bar in Maryland

A bar in Maryland is causing an uproar among Catholics.  Maryland, a state that was basically a Catholic colony now has a bar that is mocking its beliefs.  The bar is using sacred items used for Liturgy in a satirical manner.  Chalices are used to serve bear, and a monstrance is being used as decor.  Holy water fonts are even used to display candy.

It is obvious the owners have some fixation with Catholicism.  While I am all for free speech and expression I believe it ends when we use it to make fun of others.  We can and should critique ideas and thoughts rationally and with maturity.  We should never make fun of them.

I hope this bar comes to it senses and removes these items.  Instead of mocking Catholicism, they should praise it and its long history in Maryland.  Perhaps Theology on Tap can be invited to hold talks.
